Forgive me I'm at work but props to eaglelover1  for the poll on DJAX salary.  At first thought I say throw the checkbook at em! We need Jackson.... Then I looked at the results from that poll and am somewhat unsure of the fair dollar amount.   I checked into a few big name guys and it made me really think about how much Jackson really brings to the table. If you consider a guy like Calvin Johnson's pay your looking at Mega getting basically 9.6 Mil per yr. Now I don't know the years or further details, but if rumors correct and Jackson's corner didn't like 5 mil yr offers I can't say I don't blame them.  I feel IMO he's probably justified in asking in the 7M range not only as #1 offensive threat but also his special teams talents.  The 7million range per year is still not small change considering the class of Andre Johnson(TEXANS) 9mil pyr, Larry Fitz at 10 mil pyr, Roddy White at 8mil pyr.  I don't feel Jackson offers that physical/ 4th down gotta convert threat, these top guys bring.  He's no slouch sure but even 7 a year seems a little generous.  Not that were comparing apples to apples but a Dez Bryant only costs  2.5 mil a year or even a Jordy Nelson  nets 1 mil pyr and the list goes on full of recievers who don't break the bank but offer some serious skills.  I guess the question is does Jackson's blistering speed and special teams threat justify him costing nearly what the truly elite recievers cost?
