The Linc - The Eagles Might Not Let All Free Agents Walk After All

Source: Eagles yet to decide on unrestricted FAs
A team official who’s involved in negotiations and contracts said a report by the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Eagles will not re-sign any of their unrestricted free agents is premature. "It’s just too early in the process to make all those decisions," he said. "Most of those decisions haven’t been made yet."

Cowboys Sign Doug Free To Four-Year Deal - Blogging The Boys
The Cowboys shed themselves of a bunch of overpriced vets to get the money to heap on Doug Free so they could.... maintain their status quo. Seriously though, they had to get this deal done and they did.

Barry Cofield and Redskins reportedly agree to terms - The Insider - The Washington Post
The Redskins have signed away 4-3 DT Barry Cofield from the Giants with a 6 year deal that includes $12.5 million in guaranteed money. He doesn't really seem to have the size to play nose tackle in the Redskins 3-4, which they already don't have the proper personnel for anyway.

That’s starting to seem like too much to ask

Crazy.

We need to be done with Kolb, then move on to solving D-Jax contract all before Friday. Makes no sense that we are on day 2 and Kolb is still with us, while he should already be an afterthought

What’s with the Titans and extremely old QBs? Kerry Collins, now Matt Hasselbeck.

I don’t understand why. There was nothing the Eagles could do about it until today. Today is the first day that teams can resign their players and sign rookies.

they could of done it last season...

I tell you what, although I think he should not hold out (which we will find out today) he is making nothing this year. He needs to get a new contract. I think he’s earned it so far. All eh should do is go to the table with a film of Miracle in the Meads II.

Reporter: "Randall, why do you think you can fly?"
Randall: "Because I'm and Eagle." HA

they could of done it last season…

The 30% rule was a major reason why they did not do it last season.

and, they have to wait until friday to renegotiate contracts.

But, isn’t Wednesday the first day where teams can resign plays and sign rookies?

Wow. McNabb trade...

NFLN just reported that McNabb trade is almost done. Working on the contract. Minny will give up a 6th next year, and possibly a 6th in 2013. Two 6ths? LoLskins

Barry Cofield to the Redskins- 6 yr 36 mil

He’s barely 300 pounds… where does he play in the 3-4?

Also, too much guaranteed cash, too much overall… but that’s the Redskins way.

Eagles prediction for today.

Nothing happens.

Q: What do a leaky tampon and Sean McDermott's defense have in common?
A: They are equally ineffective in the red zone.

Things are looking good

From what I"m reading. After Kolb for DRC trade goes down, we can focus our attention on Ray Edwards.

Doug Free

The Cowboys got a bargain there. I figured he’d be pulling down a $10m/yr contract where ever he signed. The Bucs were apparently taking a look at him, and could have easily afforded to over pay for him. Disappointed he’ll be staying in Dallas.

"On the flip side, though, Bleeding Green Nation cites a PFF study that says Jackson dropped the highest percentage of catchable passes (19.67 percent) of any receiver in the league last year. I think he also dropped that punt at the end of the last Giants game. But then he picked it back up."

If I was him I’d have gotten outta there for TB. That team is on the rise IMO.
