NFL Free Agency Rumors: Tampa Bay Trying To Sign Cowboys' Doug Free
If something bad happens to the Cowboys, it is generally good news for the Eagles... and this is good news. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports says that the cap space rich Tampa Bay Bucs are after Cowboys free agent LT Doug Free.
Tampa, Dallas in a dogfight for doug free. Could get REALLY expensive.

Tampa helped us out in 2008 by beating the Bears and helping us get to the playoffs (44-6)

Tampa
Actually, the raiders beat Tampa which let the eagles into the playoffs. Also, Houston beat Chicago.

Tampa-Easily my second favorite NFL team. Would love it if they got Free from the cowboys

Thank you!
I like them as well, which apparently is a crime for a Philly fan. People need to get over the last game at the old stadium or whatever the beef was with them.

Who put you in charge of what people need to get over?
People need to get over telling other people what they need to get over lol
I’m playing with you, but that comes off as an arrogant thing to say.
Anyway, whoooooo hoooooo Tampa Bay, steal Doug Free! <—- See, I’m over it. And Matt Bryant’s 62-yard FG.

I like Tampa also even if they fucked us in the playoffs before, and they were my favorite team when I was a little kid because I liked their uniforms and name (before my dad turned me over to the dark side), and I like where the team is going now

This is pretty much the same for me. Though the 60 yarder did sting a little

I still see Levon Kirkland trying to run after Jurevicius all game long…. grrrrrrrrrrr, we shud have been in the super bowl that year…

Dont forget about Blaine effin Bishop
Everything favored us during that match-up. It still stings.
That game and the 63 yarder game place that team on my “do not root for” list. (Unless playing an NFC East rival of course)

I’d rather see them lose out on DRC too and then they’ll have to go after Nnamdi, hopefully.

This will be absolutely great. Really. I love the Bucs this year.

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
Lions may be my #2 team, but I really do hope McNabb has a great year.

So when the Giants had these guys on their roster
they were “too old, coming off injuries and declining in skills”. Now that they have been cut to spark a youth movement of players who were drafted the last three years, and have been patiently waiting behind the veterans, the team is “gutting” their Oline. There really is no way you weren’t going to try to demean the Giants Oline.

Frankly, what you posted is absolutely true; you had old guys coming off injuries and declining in skill and now you have young guys who are question marks. What part of that is untrue?
Don’t get defensive because someone points out the obvious.

Jason used the term
“gutted”. That implies that there are not replacements already lined up, which is inaccurate. Maybe it will work out, maybe it won’t, but it’s rather early to make broad statements. If I said the last two years that the Eagles “gutted” their secondary, how would you respond to that?

@timring3TV: SOURCE: Eagles tring to squeeze Cards for a 1st round pick plus DRC. Cardinals currently offering DRC and 2nd.

Seriously, a 2nd and DRC is plenty given the fact that ARI is basically the only team in the market.
by The Reddgie on Jul 26, 2011 11:35 PM EDT up reply actions
This is getting ridiculous
There’s no way we’d be this dumb. And there’s no way Cards are THAT desperate when Orton is right there…

BEAUTIFUL
In a perfect world we’d get Free, but this is without a doubt the next best thing. Now Dallas may feel compelled to make up for it by signing Nnamdi, which would screw them over for the net few years.
Sorry Eagles fans....
