What are the chances? What are the possibilites? What could happen?
I think there is a solid chance to bring, arguably, the number one cornerback in the NFL to Phili. Why? The money is in the Eagles pocket to go out and dump the cash on him. If Andy Reid wants a Super Bowl with Vick, he has to make moves now. Let's be real... Vick's years are numbered to play at a high level. I say 4 or 5 years left. They really need that corner spot opposite of Asante Samuel to be filled immediatly. Nnamdi is clearly a dominant player and would be a phenominal pick up. So I see the Eagles making their greatest reach for him but it's the competition that I think could stop this from happening. Everyone is going to want him. If Nnamdi likes Phili, than I believe hands down he will wear midnight green this coming season.
Now I was a little shocked when I had read about Philadelphia having interest in him. As an Eagle fan, I would want to see Plaxico come here. What are the odds? Now that is tough... because I think many many teams will want his services and does Phili even really have interest in him? Yeah he's old and yeah he won't play like he did in his prime but he can still catch a ball over any defender. Many teams need that redzone threat. I think Phili may have a slight advantage to this since Plaxico and Michael Vick talk quite a bit. I can see Michael wanting the 6 foot 5 giant loaded in his arsenal. I would actually dig the fact that DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, and Plaxico Burress could be lined up all in one formation with Starship 7 firing the missiles. Gosh, I can only imagine how sick that could possibly be. The Eagles are stacked at Wide Reciever and to bring in Plax is smart because it's a low risk-high reward deal and it shouldn't cost the Eagles too much money. Personally, I hope that the Eagles have a number 17 or 80 jersey in service next year.
This one I am back and forth with. The likelihood is weird since Phili has Bunkley, Patterson and Dixon at defensive tackle but it's rumored that one could be traded. Albert really did not like his time in Washington, CLEARLY and no one knows if he will ever come back to his fierce dominating state that the animal once played like. Now, I do sit here thinking: "I do not want to see a player who is lazy and lacks motivation, play for my favorite team, The Eagles." But then... I jump to the fact that Jim Washburn, the D-Line coach God who just signed with Philadelphia's staff, made Albert back in their Titan days. So then it leads me to a question... Will Haynesworth play for Jim? He did enjoy is time in Tennesse with Washburn and he left for Washington to become the 100 million dollar man. Who wouldn't? Hypothetically speaking... If Albert put forth the effort and was motivated with Coach Washburn, playing for Philadelphia, he would break from his cage. No offensive line could stop him. He would destroy for Philadelphia and the Redskins would have their regrets. It just seems to me no one wants to play for Washington since they just don't have everything together. (Like how we also saw with McNabb.) They need alot of things to become a force in the NFL. Every free agent knows that Philadelphia is oh so close to being a champion which catches interest for many of them. So my final statement: I would not want to be the one to blame if Haynesworth is a let down, but I'd want to be fully responsible if he revived himself. We will have to see how this pans out.
