Salary cap space is the most important number the Eagles are looking at, this number will determine wheter Nnamdi Asomugha, Albert Haynesworth, and others is an Eagle or NOT. With all these transactions, is this number a fluke-, or possibly a go ahead for us to sign those big names in Free Agency?
As of right now, our free space should range from 45 to 60 million dollars.
The Unsigned,- Who stays, and who leaves and how much expected money we save from losing them
Micheal Vick: Resigned, salary next year: around 20 million
KK: gone, 1 million dollars saved
Jerome Harrison: gone, about 2 million dollars saved
Eldra Buckley: Resigned, salary:1 million dollars
Owen Shmitt: Resigned, salary: 2 million dollars
Desean Jackson: Resigned, salary: 9 million dollars
Sinorice Moss: Gone, but practice squad should be expected, half a million saved.
King Dunlap: Stays, salary: 3 million dollars
Max-Jean-Gilles: Gone, 3 million dollars saved
Mike McGlynn: stays 1.5 million dollar salary
Nick Cole: Gone: 1 million dollars saved
Jaqua Parker: Gone due to depth, 3 million dollars saved
Victor Abiarimi: Gone, 1 million dollars saved

Trevor Laws: Resigned, salary 4 million dollars
Antonio Dixon: Resigned, salary 5 million dollars
Ernie Sims: Long gone, saved 5 million dollars
Stewart Bradley: Gone, saved 3 million dollars
Omar Gaither: Gone, saved a million dollars
Akeem Jordan: Resigned for 2 million dollars
Ellis Hobbs: Gone, saved 3 million dollars
Dmitri Patterson; Gone, 1 million dollars saved
Quentin Mikell: Gone, 6 million dollars saved
Marlin Jackson: Gone, 1 million dollars saved
David Akers: Gone, 1 million dollars saved
Sav Rocca: saved, 1 million dollar salary
Leanord Weaver: Gone, 1 million saved
About $25,000,000-30,000,000 should be used for the resigning, but that huge number will be whimpered to 10-12 million due to the money saved from all the releases.
Also, the budget for our 2011 draft picks should look like this(New CBA rule in effect)
Round 1 Pick 23 ................$2,500,000
Round 2 Pick 54 ..................$965,000
Round 3 Pick 85 ..................$515,000
Round 4 Pick 103 ................ $420,000
Round 4 Pick 119................ $340,000
5 million dollars will be used for rookie signings. That means around 17 million dollars will be cut in to our free space.
Worst Case Scenario:Our original free space is only 45-49 million dollars. With 17 million dollars projected to resignings and rookies, our free agency cap is 28-32 million dollars. This is still a great position to sign many free agents compared to other teams, but we could do better.Hopefully this doesn't happen, but again, I wouldn't be too dissapointed.
Medium Case Scenario:Our original free space is 50-54 million dollars. With 17 million dollars projected to resignings and rookies, our free agency cap is 33-37 million dollars. This is a great position to sign many free agents , but we still could do better. This is our most likely target zone
Best Case Scenario:Our original free space is 55-60 million dollars. With 17 million dollars projected to resignings and rookies, our free agency cap is 38-42 million dollars. This is a great position to sign many free agents, this isn't extremely likely, but I wouldn't be stunned at all if we have this space.
We have the gun cocked in free agency, literally. Even if Nnamdi were signed for around 17 million under the worst case scenario, we'd still have 11-15 million dollars left over for other players.
