Since the Right- Corner position would be the primary focus in the "Free Agencies" period
why not take a shoot at Janoris Jenkins a 5'11, 180 lbs 22 year old. Who was projected to
be a top 10 pick in next years draft. Yes he was kicked of the team due to marijuana related
incidence. Personally i would have a strong at him in the supplemental draft,the eagles have
shown a willingness to take a chance on a player (Mike Vick) far more polarizing and with greater
issues and "Successfully" rehabbed his public image and behavioral issues.
Last Season a similar player by the name of Legarrette Blount was shunned by the media and public
for good reason, for bunching a Boise State player. He went undrafted and signed as a free agent with
the Titans before being cut and eventually landing in Tampa bay where he had a breakout season.
Asante Samuel is 29 and commands a huge salary ..... why not forfeit as high as a 2nd round pick to get
this kid .................

Lindley would of been a 1st round pick if it wasn’t for injuries he suffered at Kentuck. Jenkins has major character concerns. You don’t get kicked out of Florida for one issue with the wacky tobacky. I don’t want a locker room cancer. THose type of guys very rarely win Superbowls. Looks at Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Albert Haynesworth, Pac Man, etc. They destroy chemistry. Not only will Lindley have a better career than Jenkins, but Curtis Marsh as well.

185 tackles, 2 FF’s, 10 INT’s, 2 TD’s… Now this is with missing most of his senior season, and playing his entire junior season hurt, and he was considered a shut down CB in the SEC..
Jenkins:
106 tackles, 2 FF’s, 8 INT’s, 1 TD… Now Jenkins is good, but teams go after him, they always have because he’s boom or bust..
My argument stands alone, I watch every Kentucky game, and every UF game because I love Kentucky and I liked Tim Tebow and like Jeff Driskle a lot… I’ve seen what Lindley did and what Jenkins has done and Lindley’s much better, and he’s a much better prospect.

stats don’t lie …… but what stats don’t show are other factors like intangibles …. Lindley WAS an All SEC in 2007…thats a pretty long time to still have faith in a player with injury issues …. . Remember the tight end from Florida Cornelius Ingram “The next big thing….. The steal of the draft”

His Junior year he messed up his arm and played at a very high level, his senior season he hurt his ankle…
Comparing Ingram to Lindley is just ignorant, an ankle injury isn’t even close to an ACL tear and improper reconstruction.

Your post wasn’t clear beyond the fact that you think Jenkins is good, his problems aren’t bad and we should give up a high 2nd round pick (!!) to get him. You didn’t make any kind of argument for him beyond draft speculation and you would really need to convince us since you think a supplemental player is worth a 2nd round pick. That’s a pretty damn high pick for someone with serious character concern issues (and considering next year’s draft class is supposed to be a strong one). Also, what is with the Samuel blurb at the end? Are you suggesting Jenkins be brought in as Samuel’s replacement because Asante costs too much? The whole point of needing a RCB this off-season is to complement Asante, not replace him.

At least as far as I understand it. Teams bid the pick they are willing to give up to get someone and that’s it. Whoever bids the highest gets the kid. Keep in mind the teams don’t know what other teams bid, so it’s not like the price can be driven up in that way.
