I caught a quick glimpse online about Mr. Vick's dog fighting compound and wanted to ask what fellow green folks had to say about it.   It really made me nauseous to read the following...

What in the wide world of sports is going on.  Let me first state I do not condone the operation Vick and company were running and participating in. However with that being said how in the hell is buying this mansion and estate a win for the dogs?  Better yet what does that even mean?  A win for the dogs.  Has anyone ever had or seen an abused pit bull?   I've witnessed tons and must say they are certainly not the type of fuzzy little critters I would want in my neighborhood, or the type to spoil and put up in a million dollar resort.  I'm leaning way more towards PANDA BEARS :-)

Dogfighting in America is illegal, but do you really think Mike Vick is the only star in the US to ever fight dogs?  I don't believe that one bit, that seems a little naive. Fighting dogs is one thing that I can rationalize(hes a bored rich ballplayer with the wrong crowd) sure! The problem with Vick's case is the beating, drowning, and electrocuting of the beasts.  All that being said I hope people realize this guy really got 18 months in PRISON for this operation.  18 months.  Thats a YEAR and a half.  Not a few days or weeks! Almost two years! This rant probably sounds like I support that nonsense and I really don't but I have a feeling in months following this sale, the media will bring this crap back up. Could he have just been stripped of all endorsements and fined heavy?  People have gotten away with less time for rape,manslaughter, and grand theft,  I just want to know what other Eagle fans think really.  I gotta get more beer :-) but did Vick get the right sentence?
