Pete Prisco wrote a piece on Thursday detailing his top 20 players due for a breakout season in 2011. The Eagle he names is one we've heard a lot of scouts speak highly of.
Antonio Dixon, DT, Philadelphia Eagles: The undrafted Dixon was a surprise starter in Philly last season after being claimed the year before on waivers from the Redskins. He is a powerful man who holds up against the run, but also can push the pocket. With the experience he got last year, he should be ready for even more.
Dixon is the guy that we've heard mentioned a lot when discussions about "underrated" or "due for a breakout" conversations pop up. Dixon started 10 games last year and actually finished with the fifth most tackles for a loss in the NFC East (Trent Cole had the most). He actually seemed to flash the ability to penetrate that we expect Broderick Bunkley to have when he was drafted. It should be interesting to see how he progresses next year under the tutelage of Jim Washburn.
