Lincoln Financial Field, "Better Known As Veterans Stadium"

The Orlando Sentinel published a story this week about a local Florida kid named D’Shawn Dexter getting a scholarship offer from Temple. The writer of the story, Brendan Sonnone, mentioned that Dexter didn't know much about Temple football, but he does know where they play.

But does Sonnone?

Dexter was planning on doing some extra homework on Temple prior to receiving the offer. He knows that the Owls play in Lincoln Financial Field (perhaps better known as Veterans Stadium) and that Philadelphia is a city with a lot of history, but Dexter will be looking at Temple’s program more closely now.

Of course, as we know, Veterans Stadium was imploded when Lincoln Financial Field was built. So, no, Lincoln Financial Field is not better known as Veterans' Stadium.

Thanks to The T Stands Alone for the tip.
