The Linc - Goodell Says Lockout Is Hurting Interest In NFL
NFL knows 'urgency' to get labor deal done rising quickly - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell delivered his most sobering public message to date about the league’s labor impasse after a two-day owners meeting in Indianapolis. Goodell alluded to the decline in the league’s popularity — particularly drops in internet traffic and television ratings for April’s college draft — as well as slumping ticket sales since the player lockout began in mid-March.

Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones gets 'special permission' to attend Tony Romo's wedding - ESPN Dallas
A story this stupid and pointless can only involve the Dallas Cowboys. Literally. Not other team could work up media interest in something this inane.

If you are CIN, how do you not make that trade? Two firsts for any player who is not a starting QB is amazing.

As for the stupidity and pointlessness of the Cowgirl love triangle story...
The article unwittingly points out its own stupid and pointless existence in one paragraph…
Technically, Jones doesn’t need special permission from the league to go to Romo’s wedding. Personal events and situations where team officials would interact with a player — such as weddings, funerals, serious illnesses or medical emergencies — don’t need to be cleared through the league office.

“Leave me alone with your completely one-sided offers in my favor! Chad Ochocinco is unhappy here and I want to keep it that way!”

Seriously...
Where does Mike Brown rank on the “I might root for another team because the owner literally makes me want to cry” scale?
#1 with a bullet.
At least in the NFL. Donald Sterling or the Pirates ownership might beat him overall. At least you know Jerruh and Danny Boy are trying but incompetent. Mike Brown likes to get into pissing contests (see: Palmer, Carson) to prove he’s got the biggest dick in the room instead of making moves to improve his team.

It’s pretty impressive that both the redskins and bengals managed to look really awful on that proposed deal. The Redskins got lucky they were turned down, but I can’t believe the Bengals wouldn’t trade Ocho for two number ones. That just seems incredibly dumb and shortsighted.

cheap cheap cheap
That absurd excuse for an owner probably didnt want to have to pay so much for a talented team. y’know, winning may be nice, but having to pay for all that talent is such a downer.
slumping ticket sales?
Why on earth would ticket sales go down when the NFL is offering people a chance to pay a lot of money to sit in a stadium where NO FOOTBALL GAME will be played?
i just cant believe it.
I saw on twitter today a Redskin fan telling McLane that he loves that the Eagles have already given up on Nate Allen, I wonder where he got that idea from?
As a 'Skins fan,
maybe he didn’t realize that most teams try to get multiple competent players for the various positions on the team?

Really, Roger? The lockout is hurting the league? Heavens, how ever could that be?
