Greatest Football Movie Of All Time Tourney: Final Four

Stay connected for news and updates

We have reached the final four of BGN's Greatest Football Movie Of All Time tournament. The matchups will pit #1 Invincible against (amazingly) #5 The Replacements and #1 Remember The Titans and #2 Rudy.

We will begin with Invincible against The Replacements. Shane Falco and his boys have beaten Leatherheads, Little Giants & Any Given Sunday en route to the Final Four. Will the hometown favorite Invincible be their next upset?

Invincible stars Mark Wahlberg as Vince Papale, a 30-year-old bartender from South Philadelphia who attended an open tryout for the Eagles put on by new coach Dick Vermiel in 1976. Vermiel was just hoping the stunt would drum up some publicity for a franchise mired in years of losing... but Papale impressed him enough that he actually made the team.

The Replacements - During a pro football strike, the owners hire substitute players. Gene Hackman is the coach, while Keanu Reeves is the washed up former college star living on a boat and looking for one last shot... There's also a sumo wrestler on the o-line, a British kicker (he's wiry), and a deaf tight end. Oh and apparently when football players go on strike, so do the cheerleaders. This movie may also hold the record for the most music montages in a film.
