2011 NFL Mock Draft: Todd McShay Goes Seven Rounds
Second round – Will Rackley – OG – Lehigh
Third Round – Benjamin Ijalana – OT – Villanova
Fourth Round (from Cleveland) – Dion Lewis -RB -Pitt
Fourth Round – Shiloh Keo – S – Idaho
Fifth Round (from San Diego) – Scott Lutrus – OLB – Connecticut
Fifth Round – D.J. Williams – TE – Arkansas
Seventh Round (From Seattle) – Kealoha Pilares – WR – Hawaii
Seventh Round (comp) – Sealver Siliga – DT – Utah
Seventh Round (comp) – Allen Bradford - RB – USC
My one major reaction is that this mock is very light on defensive lineman and there’s been a lot of rumors about the Eagles wanting to take a defensive lineman in this draft. It’s one of the positions that we know that they feel is stocked.

FO likes Bradford more than Dion Lewis
Not to say FO is always right, but Lewis is small, his speed score is terrible and he isn’t much of a blocker or receiver at this point. And the Eagles would want him why? They only take big RBs with that profile. If he was 240, Reid would be all over him.
To be fair, are there any college rbs that are good blockers?

I’m assuming that when Frank said we wouldn’t take Smith at #23 he meant not at #23 and that it’s possible that we could move up for him. Is that how other people are reading it?

Jason, did Reuben elaborate on why there was 0% chance for the Eagles taking Smith?
Does he mean the Eagles have eliminated him from their board altogether? Or did he mean something along the lines of the Eagles wouldn’t wait to see if he fell and would trade up to get him?
It’s character stuff

I dont think the eagles shy away from smith if he falls to 20-23 range. The eagles are the type of team that straightens out character problems. Look at winston justice and mike vick. Jimmy Smith reminds me a lot right now of the Knowshon pick 2 years ago. We all want him and he is projected to fall to us or atleast close and I bet some a-hole team takes him right outside of the top 10.
You only think were front runners because our team is winning.
I can only hope it goes as well as the Knowshon pick. We couldn’t get Moreno but we ended up with Maclin and Shady instead. I’d say that’s an acceptable trade off

Interesting.
Didn’t think it was that big of a deterrent. We keep hearing more and more about the character stuff being less problematic.
Aww...
Both McShay and Kiper have the Eagles picking Shiloh in the 4th rather than Tyrod Taylor :(

Todd McShay has released his final NFL mock draft of the season and has seen fit to go big this time. He’s got all seven rounds forecasted. Frankly, I’ve been pretty critical of McShay’s picks for the Eagles in this pre-draft process, so let’s what he’s got in this final 7-round mock…
Get ready for a shocker of a first rounder!
First round – Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado - "Smith is just as talented as Amukamara and has eased character concerns, and he would be a steal at this point for the Eagles."
Again, I have to ask that if Smith "is just as talented as Amukamara and has eased character concerns" then why is he going to fall to number #23? I don’t get that. Plus, CSNPhilly’s Reuben Frank told me last night that there was "0% chance" the Eagles would take Smith at #23. In other news, did anyone else know that there's a fullback from UConn named "Reuben Frank?"
In the second and third round, McShay has two local offensive lineman coming to Philadelphia. I’m not sure these guys would drop far enough for this to happen, but they would make for interesting picks being "homegrown" type players. See it all after the jump
