The Draft has arrived, has free agency also?
This could really happen.....
Ok so here we are just over a day away from the draft and now free agency could start just hours before. What could be the senerio if this happens and how crazy will it be. Lets check out some of the questions that may be answered in the next 36 hours and the craziest day ever to hit the NFL.
1st- Free Agency start 12 hours prior to the draft - Who do the Eagles sign back to the team - Jerome Harrison, Stewart Bradly, Omar Gaither, Quintin Mikell - do we sign any or all of these guys back? I like Mikell, Bradly and Harrison coming back, sorry Omar just dont see room for you after this draft.
What about free agents that are out there from other teams - Who could we sign before the draft? Here is my list of restricted and unrestricted - Randy Moss anyone (lol),Seattle Leon Washington - we need a KR.,NYG Mathias Kiwanuka, always like DE, NYJ Brodney Pool, we need a safety - Pitt - Ike Taylor CB intrigues me, Tampa Bay - Barrett Rudd LB, would be tough but lead the team 4 years straight in tackles, NO - Jermon Busrod OL - solid o-linemen, TENN. Stephen Tullock LB, This guy could be worth the money, TENN, Jason Babin DE, do we bring him back now?, GB, Cullen Jenkins DE - I am all about Washburn's scheme and we need the DE's - ATL - Tyson Clabo OL - Need to solidify the OL., MIN - Is Chad Greenway LB woth a look? - KC - Tamba Hali LB - I like this guy, CAR - Deangelo Williams RB, How cheap could we get this guy? Nnamdi Asomugha, CB we all feel the same about him.
Then you have the Kevin Kolb trade that will happen - but who do you think he goes to? Carolina, Arizona, San Fran, Washington (doubtful) Kolb's upside to good to send to division rival, Tennesse? Who you got and what do we get for him? This is my senario for this trade - Carolina trades back 3 or 4 picks, picks up a 3rd round pick and then trades to the eagles and gives up their first and 3rd they just got. This way the only pick they really lose is their first. Strange things can happen and why not make up the picks you have to give up for him. Kolb will tank in Carolina because the only thing they have is running game. NOBODY to throw to.
But what do the Eagles do with him. How many teams will be putting up crazy offers to get Kolb cause some of these teams have the pieces in place to win now. San Fran has all the weapons on the offense and a new line just no QB. Arizona well us Eagles fans know what they can do with a solid QB. Also Tennesse I think has a lot of pieces in place on Offense. So what do you think these guys would really give up to get that Qb they need?
Then you have the other senario - Free agency stays on hold and we are all back to where we started. Always fun to this about it though. Lets hear your feed back on this.

my opinions
players to resign-mikell and bradley
we can pick up and rb to replace harrison in draft.
players would like to see signed-clabo, nnamdi and babin
babin would be better this time around with washburn as his position coach, nnamdi speaks for himself and clabo well we desperately need an RT. greenway and hali would be decent or cullen jenkins but there is no way those teams are letting them walk away.
kolb- i think he ends up getting traded to arizona, just a gut feeling im getting. in order of importance id say
arizona
san fran
cincinnatti
seattle
carolina
miami
tennessee
jacksonville
buffalo
oakland
minnesota
washington
why would carolina trade back and then trade all the picks they get in that trade to us? they might as well just trade us their original pick.
if they trade back they will get extra picks, in doing so when they trade to us they would not lose 2 picks they would only really be giving up 1. that is why I would say they do this so if they were to trade back to number 6 lets say they could pick p a 3rd rd pick for trading back. with that being said they trade their 1 and 3rd from there to us and they really only give up their 1st round pick because they would have the other teams 3rd pick.
