I am a season ticket holder for my local Arena Football team- The Iowa Barnstormers. This season the stadium staff at the team's arena is forcing people to sit down during games regardless if people are complaining about it or not. This is something that I am really passionate about. I believe that if you don't want to stand up and cheer at a game you should stay home. The midwest is really bad about standing up at any sports event or concert. I have lived in the midwest my whole life and that's the way it's always been. The only time people in Iowa stand up during a football game is when the cheerleaders are throwing out T-Shirts.

So is it really bad manners to stand up continuously or should you be expected to stand up and cheer if others around you are? I'm curious to how everyone on BGN feels about this. Is it a section thing were the lower section people are privledged to stand and the upper section are the more blue-collar diehard fans who never sit down? I'm not one to refuse to sit down if someone actually ask me, just as long as they are in their actual seats(someone sitting behind me in my friends actual seat told me to sit down) and people aren't standing in front of me.

So am I being an obnoxious fan who has no respect for anyone else because I dare stand and cheer for my team? Much input from everyone here from all across the country/world would be appreciated.
