Eagles Working Out QB Jake Locker

National Football Post is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles will hold a private workout with University of Washington QB Jake Locker tomorrow in Seattle. Locker was rumored to be a potential top ten pick in last year's draft, but saw his stock fall this past year thanks to relatively poor senior season.

His scouting report will sound pretty familiar. Big arm, very fast, but with accuracy questions... He's got some Michael Vick in him. Locker isn't quite as fast as Vick, but he's got more size at 6-foot-3, 231 pounds. He's also drawn high marks for character.

Clearly, Locker would be a project type pick. His accuracy has to improve, but he's got huge upside. His athleticism stacks up with any QB prospect in the past few years not named Cam Newton. The question is, would they spend a second round pick on him? It's always tough to tell where a QB will go, because they're often over-drafted in a mock drafts, but it doesn't seem that Locker would last past the second round.

The Eagles have also worked out QBs Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, Greg McElroy & Tyrod Taylor. When you are reportedly getting serious offers for your backup QB and your starter takes a ton of hits... it's probably pretty smart to kick the tires on QBs in the upcoming draft.
