It is something that needs to be considered. They would be following their 2007 playbook when they traded back to draft Kevin Kolb. That same year, they brought Kolb in for a pre-draft workout. According to brza37's recent post they have brought in Kaepernick this year. The Eagles love to have a surplus of quality quarterbacks on their roster. If they are going to trade Kolb, then that would leave just Vick and Kafka. How does everyone feel if Kafka has to start next week against the Cowboys because Vick is hurt. As JimmyK pointed out with his April 11 post, the laws of supply and demand would only increase the trading value of Kolb if one less team was able to satisfy their QB need on draft day, if the Eagles took Kaepernick off the menu. The Eagles have a lot of needs this year, but I think back-up QB has to be put on that list. Personally, I would love to see them draft an offensive lineman or cornerback, but I don't want them to reach for one either. Trade back, pick up another pick, fill a need, and increase the trade value for Kolb. Would you be shocked?
