The season is over. The long offseason has begun. Start the countdown.....216 days (me speculating of course, September 11, 2011 as week 1).
Once again the season ended in disappointment, with us watching the Lombardi getting lifted by a team not wearing green, silver, and black. With a season so full of promise and hope, it ends in wishing and What Ifs instead of What Was.
My fellow Eagles fans, I ask you to fear not!!! Yes the season is over, but hope is rekindled!!! The end of this season just means the beginning of the next one! Where we all start from the perfect record of 0-0, where we are filled with hope when free agency starts and when the first name of the draft is announced by Mr. Goodell in Radio City Music Hall (?). Hope is a good feeling for it gives us optimism, comfort, and solace. So in the midst of our sorrows and disappointments, I ask you to take comfort in that solace! We begin anew!
Who would've thought the Saints would win last year? Or the Packers would be able to weather their plague of injuries to finally raise that glorious trophy?? I tell you my friends, do not be troubled by the sight of the Packers raising the trophy. In fact be encouraged and optimistic!! The Silver Beacon of Hope has been lifted. It means it could, nay WILL be us next year!
I believe our team can do this. I believe the next season will be our season! Everyone is back to square one. Everyone is 0-0. Everyone is back to the bottom of the totem pole. The Packers won, that is the past. It is time to look for the future, it is time to have optimism. I dream I will one day see Jeffery Lurie lift that trophy. This will happen. I believe in our team.
(dont hate too much lol. i tried my best at writing)
