There are 3 groups on offense: QB/RB/WR
and 3 groups on defense: DB/DL/LB

QB: calls offensive plays, controls full offense audibles, o-line shifts, passes the ball (obviously).
RB: runs the ball (can switch between RB/FB) , blocks if play calls for it, goes out for pass if play calls for it, controls RB/FB audibles/ hotroutes. (can go in motion).
WR: runs routes (you can switch to any receiver), catches passes if thrown to, throws blocks downfield, controls wide receiver audibles/hotroutes. (can go in motion).

DL: controls D-linemen (can switch to any D-lineman), controls D-line audibles (pinch/spread)
LB: calls defensive plays, controls full defense audibles, controls LB (can switch to any LB). (also controls LB audibles, obviously.)
DB: controls D-back (can control CBs/Safeties), can switch up coverage style (press/man/zone/blitz)

Three people play per team, so each person must select 1 offensive and 1 defensive position. For example, I generally play either QB or RB on offense, and either D-line or D-backs on defense.

It’s pretty fun, but only if you are friends with the people on your team/ can communicate with them. otherwise the QB is usually a douche and will just call passing plays every down, ignoring his teammates, or if using Vick will do stupid shit like try to scramble every play (which doesn’t even work anymore, this isn’t Madden 2005). That’s why I’m looking for people to play with.
