Normally, in a customary season in which the Eagles would typically be playing games that matter in Week 14, we wouldn't bat an eye at news like this, but this is bad news for the Eagles. Look at any Top prospect list, and Kalil is a regular among the top 5 in the country. The Eagles are likely headed for a Top 10 pick, and regardless of whether the Eagles would have interest specifically in Kalil or not, it's one less elite prospect out of the pool. Not to mention... maybe this sways Matt Barkley to return to USC next year as well. Update: SBN's Mocking the Draft is on this as well, with a very sobering comparison: "If the report about Kalil is true, as is the package deal with Barkley, we could be looking at a draft class similar to that of 2009. That draft featured a great quarterback prospect at the top (Matt Stafford) and players like Jason Smith, Tyson Jackson and Aaron Curry as top five picks."
