Eagles Send Three To 2012 Pro Bowl
The Eagles will send at least three players to the 2012 Pro Bowl. Jason Babin, Jason Peters & LeSean McCoy.
For Babin, it's his second straight pro bowl and well deserved as he currently trails Jared Allen by just a half sack for the NFL lead in that category.
Jason Peters gets his fifth straight pro bowl selection, which ties him with Joe Thomas for the longest active streak among tackles. His three pro bowl selections as an Eagles ties him for the most in franchise history for a tackle.
Finally, LeSean McCoy is having a career year setting the Eagles franchise record for TDs in a season and leading the NFL in that category with 20. His 1,309 yards rank second in the NFL.
These three are pretty much the three most obvious selections on the Eagles and there aren't a lot of candidates for snubs. The only one I'd mention would be Evan Mathis, who has had a fantastic season at LG.
[Note by JasonB, 12/28/11 12:07 AM EST ] Cullen Jenkins is a first alternate. Nnamdi Asomugha is a 2nd alternate

Trent Cole is the true stud on the d-line
He doesn’t have the #s but he gets all the attention.
NA didn’t shut down EVERYONE all the time, so of course he had a “bad” season and he got snubbed too
JoeD AKA The Voice Of Reason
I don't have the numbers
but didn’t Nnamdi still have a statistically great season? I think he got beat like 4 times for touchdowns and I’m pretty sure all of them can be blamed on him being in zone or bad luck. The first Victor Cruz one Nnamdi was taken out by Coleman. The 2nd he was in zone. I just remember every touchdown against him seemed like was a perfect pass/catch or he was in zone. And it doesn’t seem like he was even targeted that much.
I dont know some people just make it seem like he did sooo bad. I think they need to remember he was not put in a position to succeed and his performance wasn’t even that terrible.

i know PFF has him ranked pretty bad
but i know there’s arguments to be made to there grading system…whatever. all i’ll say is to the naked eye, he had an off year. PI’s, missed tackles, teams seemingly not afraid of him anymore. it’s kind of a excuse to say all of his TDs were bad luck, or him being in zone. first off, if you’re the best in the game, your zone play should be near to, if not as good as, your man play. and bad luck? look, all i’ll say is you can’t let an undrafted free agent(Cruz) out leap you for a TD when you have about 4 inches on him.
Yes, I am a Giants fan. Now that we got that out of the way....

Mathis belonged, I thought our left side was the best in football as the season went on.
but I don’t care about the pro bowl to be honest and rather not send our guys there.. but they get bonuses for it and honored and that’s a good thing.
congrats to our guys, Mathis and Jenkins I’d say are the only other guys who deserved mention
can someone remind me again of where Mathis came from.?
Its like I woke up one day and some guy just studded out at guard

There is a good chance of the Bengals making the playoffs with a rookie QB and WR.
I think they are fine about Mathis at the moment.

I'm really sold on Rolle
I feel like he didn’t just play good for a 7th round rookie, but played great for any linebacker

Reminds me of Jamar Chaney last year TBH.

Yea I agree
that’s why I don’t want to assume that Rolle will be amazing next year because Chaney wasn’’t as good this year as his last few game last year. When I said I’m really sold I actually meant I’m really excited to see what he can do but I’m trying to not get too excited.

I like Rolle a lot, and want to see if he is for real. But we’ve seen this a million times with late round pick LBs.

I don’t really think that Rolle was pro bowl worthy this season, but I am super excited to see what this guy can develop into. The dude is fast and he seems to have a good football mind about him. And plus, he can do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVEByxwgHns

Mathis was "snubbed" though can't be too angry when Jahri Evans and Carl Nicks are above...they were awesome too for NO
I support the Giants like bras support Kim Kardashian's boobs. It can be a struggle, we've had some jiggles, but we're still firm.

Where can you see the list of alternates?

I’m surprised the Eagles didn’t try to extend Mathis during the season. He’s only on a one year deal, right?

They cant extend him and Landri before FA starts

What I wanna know is
how the fuck London Fletcher didn’t get voted in, yet again. He leads the league in tackles. That’s complete bullshit. He should be a perennial probowler by now. Its a disgrace.
