Nnamdi Asomugha, Eagles on verge of remarkable playoff run - Peter King - SI.com
In five months, the Eagles have gone from Dream Team euphoria to a disappointing start to a midseason revival to Fire Andy-mania to hopelessness in Seattle to one of the strangest and most unlikely playoff runs in recent years.

Cowboys have galloped since whipping from Eagles | Philadelphia Daily News | 12/22/2011
The Eagles and Cowboys have followed divergent paths since the Eagles' blowout win.

Spagnola: From Bad To Just Who's Bad
The first spin around the block with the Philadelphia Eagles was a bad deal for the Cowboys. How ... baaad ... was ... it? Let us count the ways, as if the 34-7 final score wasn't bad enough, constituting the worst whuppin' the Cowboys have been dealt in Jason Garrett's 22-game tenure as head coach, and in fact, the 27-point differential in that one game equaling the combined total the Cowboys have been beaten by in his other eight losses.

Eagles' Babin having dream season - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
Jason Babin is refreshingly honest, a veteran not inclined to spew clichés and hollow answers. Although he’s a former first-round pick, Babin is emboldened to be himself because of the dark days of his career, like when the Seattle Seahawks – a team that finished 4-12 – released him weeks into the 2008 season.

Birds will battle even if games lose meaning
The Eagles are treating Saturday's showdown with the Cowboys as a must-win division rivalry, regardless of whether or not the game has playoff implications.

Dear Mark Sanchez,

I have been a feverent supporter of you for a very long time even when others were bashing you. Today would be a great day for you to return the favor. Please beat the Giants.

Thanks,
d-jackfan10

PS – If you beat the Giants with a spectacular 4th quarter comeback that “breaks the back” of the Giants and their fans, that would be incredible.

you forgot to add

that beat the Giants so bad that they come out with a vengeance against the Cobwebs next week.

but it’s nice to see that you’re actually focusing on the game this week instead of who to fire or another mock draft… it’s nice to have you back, good timing.

These past two weeks have me completely befuddled, I have no idea what to think of this team anymore.

The whole season has been like that, it was kind of a rebuilding year, with all the changes and so little time to put everything together, so I think we saw a lot of ups and downs. Hopefully they’re finally coming into their own now, playoffs or no playoffs, it would be nice to see them finish out strong.

We can’t hve the Giants’ backs broken. We need them next week.

Shoooot…. I forgot about that. I can’t believe we have to root for the Jets one week and the Giants the next. BARF.

At least

We get to root against dallas both weeks.

I have to admit, I just don’t like these odds. If the Jets and Eagles win, aren’t we still relying on a Giants team that has absolutely nothing to play for to beat a Cowboys team that is still alive? Plus, the Eagles beating the Skins is far from a sure thing. I don’t mean to take that for granted.

(And if the Giants win, isn’t today’s Eagles-Cowboys game meaningless for both, but Giants-Cowboys is for the division?)

What a weird, frustrating season, but here’s hoping for the Christmas miracle.

I think someone said

That if the jets and eagles both win the giants could still make the playoffs if they beat dallas and the eagles lose to the skins. Since the games are on at the same time they’d still have something to play for regardless of what happens today.

i think the eagles play early while boys and giants play mid

So the giants would be done if everything worked out in our favor. I guess we’d have to put our hope on the giants playing with pride to finish their season strong.

It’s crazy to imagine that if we won the division at 8-8 that we would be hosting a wild card game… oh yeah, and one more thing, it’s gameday today (as reminded by the title of this post), so weird to get ready for gameday on saturday… but i’ll take it. Less then 8 hours to kickoff and finding out if we’re still alive. I have a really good feeling about today, for whatever that’s worth (nothing).

What's with the cheerleader?

Bundle her up like that you might as well put her in a freezer and go shark fishing.

Prediction: the 3-4 will be out of style in two years.
So no, I will not shut up about stupidity.
