Asante Samuel Ruled Out Against Cowboys
Asante Samuel has missed practice all week with a hamstring injury, so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that he's been officially ruled out for tomorrow's game against the Cowboys.
That means that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will get the start in his place. DRC played well filling in last week so the Eagles are lucky to not have a huge dropoff at the position. Plus, the duo of DRC & Nnamdi Asomugha on the outside and Joselio Hanson in the slot has a really good chance of being our secondary next year. So this will be a good chance to get a preview against a good Dallas receiving corps.
The Eagles need to beat the Cowboys tomorrow night to keep their playoff hopes alive, that is of course if the hopes are alive by game time... The Giants play the Jets at prior to the Eagles game. Should the Giants win, the Eagles are eliminated.

Beat the Cowgirls….regardless…. we could be 0-15 with a chance 1st overall pick and I would still want them to beat the Cowgirls….just CANNOT stand that team

This may play to our benefit, in that our best NB will be playing their respective position. But DAMN if Asante out there doesn’t help me sleep easier.

dilemma
I actually think that DRC will be fine on the outside. No one should beat him deep as he has crazy speed. However where I am concerned is, if they put Nnamdi on Witten at times (as they did last game) who is left to cover Dez Bryant ? Hughes ? Marsh ? Hanson ? eek.
Hopefully..
Rodgers-Cromartie brings his all this game. He had a tendency to give up in the slot..
Wouldn’t it make more sense to put DRC on Bryant? Let the two physical freaks have at it. Austin/Robinson are the issues.
Or, we could role the dice and put Clayton on Witten and then Nnamdi on Austin, DRC on Bryant and Hoselio on Robinson.

I like this plan...
The one thing our LBs are (pretty) good at is covering TEs. I wouldn’t expect them to shut Witten out of the game, but between Clayton, Chaney and Matthews, I think we can limit his impact.
And if we stick with the LBs covering Witten, then we can dominate them on the outside with DRC and NA.
None of this will really matter,
if we can pressure romo like we did last week against the jets..just bring those disguised blitzes that we all use to see from JJ…I saw some of that last week and the week before that
Well
at least they can’t throw ten bubble screens at him like they did in the playoff game.

i actually like hansen in the slot over the other three
This will force Juan to keep him there and drc and na on the outside in man.

we'll see plenty of zone
I’ve given up hope that he’ll play mostly press-man, and it’s the biggest reason I want Juan fired.

Hanson is overrated. Didn’t any of you watch him get torched versus New England?
