Eagles Vs. Cowboys: Michael Vick Says Philadelphia Ready To Fight For Their Playoff Lives - SB Nation Philly
After their second win in a row when they defeated the New York Jets on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will travel to Texas to play the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve at Cowboys Stadium at 4:15...

This time, McCoy made sure he's Pro Bowl lock
A Pro Bowl snub last year, LeSean McCoy has lit up the NFL and should find himself playing in Hawaii next month.

Line pushing for McCoy to win rushing title | Eagletarian | 12/20/2011
"Having him win the title and getting him those yards would be big because it would translate to a win for us,’’ said left guard Evan Mathis. ``It’s not something we’re thinking directly about. It’s one of those things you can reflect on after the season. It would be cool to say we had the leading rusher after the season. But it’s not something that’s going to cause us to change what we’re doing right now. We’re going to go out and do our best to get him all the yards we can. But we’re doing it to get a win not to get (McCoy) the rushing title.’’

Cowboys Corner: Morris ready for "5 carries or 20" if Felix Jones isn't available vs. Eagles
Sammy Morris is getting ready for whatever the Cowboys need from him Saturday against the Philadelphia Eagles, whether it’s "five carries or 20."

Jones has reason to be 'scared' of Eagles - NFC East Blog - ESPN
"Because it is the Eagles and after the butt-kicking they gave us up in Philadelphia, I'm scared," Jerry Jones said Tuesday on KRLD-FM. "It's that kind of feeling. The respect turns into being afraid of what they can do to you if you have some breakdowns out there, so you can put that scared there if you want to. I think sometimes I know I do my best when I'm scared."

I can’t help but be reminded of the Pedro Martinez “Who’s your daddy?!” fiasco when I read Jerry Jones say that he is “scared” of the Eagles.

surprising because the team doesn’t run the ball much in some games..

Let’s hope Shady isn’t available for the Pro Bowl, because he’s preparing for another game.

Oh boy, is this great!

WE

can only hope!! :) And I am glad to hear Jerry finally admit that he is scared of the Eagles. And we shoudl know by game time if the east is ours to win. This team is going to play balls out and BIG D better be ready for it if the Jets prevail. What better xmas present is there???

As for McCoy, I hope he wins the title and hands down the best back in football right now. Should be no talk about anyone else in the NFC being the #1 back on the probowl. If there is then someone needs to step in and tell them not about names its about what they have done. I see at least 4 Eagles that start the probowl if they are capable.
Jason Peters – Best in the game
LeSean McCoy – Best right now and is only going to get better
Jason Babin – man is killing it and the sack leader has to be a starter
other possibles – Cullen Jenkins, Evan Mathis, Todd Heremanns

But like mayI said, “hopefully they are preparing for something else at that time”

Eagles are

a 1 in 16 shot to make the playoffs….. I like our odds considering our division! Go Jets!!!!!

Eagles please win the division. It would be pretty bad to see either the Cowboys or Giants win.

This is technically correct

If we are assuming that we have a 50% chance for each game to fall our way:

IE
50% We beat cowboys
50% Jets beat giants
50% Giants beat boys
50% We beat skins

0.5*0.5*0.5*0.5=0.0625 or 1/16

In reality are chances are a bit closer to 3/20 (15%) with as our win percentages as our chances are a bit better than 50% in some of those games.

Writing fail.

Meant to say " In reality are chances are a bit closer to 3/20 (15%) as our win percentages are a bit better than 50% in some of those games"

The best way to stick it to NY & Dallas

Would be to win the division, even in this fashion. This would be sweeter than outright dominating from the start. I still don’t expect much after going further, but a division title after our abysmal start means hilarious late season meltdowns from NY & Dallas. I love it!

The last thing I want to hear when I'm using a public urinal is someone telling me I have a nice watch.....

Record

If we win out our Division record will be 5-1. I don’t care if we need help to win the division. A 5-1 record says we deserve to be the division champs.

Some guy at PSU Hershey Med Center just discovered a virus that eats cancer. Where were the CNN trucks for that? THON will probably break $10 mil this year. Put that on "Outside the Lines".

I see these words getting our team a little too confident for this game. I hope I’m wrong. Hubris rarely works in our favor.

by TimmyGee on Dec 21, 2011 11:32 AM EST reply actions

If the giants lose the cowboys can clinch be beating the eagles right? So both teams should be highly motivated if the jets beat the giants. Hope this happens because this game will be awesome!!

Rushing Title..

As much as that would be awesome for Mccoy, he’s gotta gain 60 yards more than Drew who’s facing the Titans and Colts. I don’t see it being likely. Lets go Jets..

"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."
