Future's Bright: Awesome Draft Picks - Sign Shaun Hill for '12
I meant to post this yesterday but got tied up…
I agree with Les Bowen that the future might be what Eagles are playing tonight rather than the postseason. However, the future I seek is one rich in high draft picks. Bowen Story
This team is not likely to win final five games. As Bowen says they’ll probably "win a couple, maybe three." BUT does anyone really want three meaningless wins NOW?
Of course I’m dreaming, but who says I can’t? Iif Eagles were to tank season they could conceivable move up to the No. 4 spot in the draft. Make trades I suggest below and new coach coming in could have 5 HIGH picks in first 3 rounds.
Bowen says "if you’re convinced Vick is the face of your franchise for years to come, you probably don't fire Reid yet." I personally don’t see Vick as the future: Goodbye Andy and Hello Jeff Fisher.
Of course Vick remains for one more year. IMO Eagles could phase him out during 2012 without wasting draft pick on QB.
Vick is not reliable and a rookie QB doesn’t fit. The answer: Lions QB Shaun Hill, a free-agent next year - use high picks for LBs and the team contends immediately
Hill is what Kevin Kolb was supposed to be: Still only 31, he doesn’t have a cannon, but he’s accurate, makes sound decisions in the pocket, and has improved steadily while staying healthy -learning mostly from the sidelines. Until last year.
Last year as you may remember when Hill was impressive in his second game in emergency role against the Eagles (333-2 TDs). He ended season with 81.3 rating 16 Tds, while completing nearly 62 percent of his passes in 11 games.
If Eagles tank season they could possible move up to the No. 4 spot in the draft.
Make trades listed below and new coach coming in w/Eagles getting 5 picks in first 3 rounds:
Eagles picks for the 2012 NFL Draft

2nd round
2nd round – from Arizona Trade both No. 2s for another High No. 1!!!!

5th round
5th round – from Cleveland
6th round
6th round – from New England
6th round – from Denver Trade 2 No. 5s & 2 No. 6s for High No. 4.
1) Eagles TWO HIGH NO. 1 Picks (2 picks in top 10?)
Zach Brown OLB Carolina
Luke Kuechly ILB Boston College
2) (Traded DeSean for No.2)
Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama
3) TWO High NO. 3 picks
MIchael Floyd WR Notre Dame
Robert Lester S Alabama

SIGN FA QB Sean Hill Det. Lions who'll move in as starter when Vick gets hurt.

Yes Optimistic...
But I’m sold on Hill…Did you watch him last year?
Oh dear, 4th overall?
Then I want RG3.

I like Barkley better
but I would be happy to gamble on either.
Joe Banner is Evil Banners father. Kinda like Luke and Darth Vader.
Juan Castillo switching from the offensive line coach to Defensive coordinator is soooo dumb it might just work.
Our defense will not be a top 10 defense this year.

O
How in this mighty world does Michael Floyd fall to the 3rd round?
Why do we get 2 MLBs in a 4-3 system?
Do you want Hill as our QB without bringing someone in to learn?
Picks are only ideas of what's possible
I don’t expect to get all of them…Not sure what you mean: “Do you want Hill as our QB without bringing someone in to learn?”
If we have that
wouldnt we take a Justin Blackmon? I am pretty sure we lose Djax and need to replace him and this dude can catch the ball. I would much rather take him and then try to move around, there are still going to be some really good LB in the 2nd rd on.
ok so lets
go this way…
1st rd – top 10 for sure. – Justin Blackmon WR – OK State
1st rd – (Asante + 4th & 5th rd) – Donta Hightower – ILB- Alabama
2nd rd – from az – Mark Barron – SS – Alambama
2nd rd – Chase Thomas – OLB – Nebraska
That is how you start the draft and put a smile on everyones face
Maclin/Blackmon/McCoy would be insane. I’m really looking for Linebackers this year. I honestly just have no clue where the team is going. I think we really need to start out the draft with a Real Defensive Coordinator.

Ok, I like part of this, but Shaun Hill?
That’s your answer for QB of the future? I… I just… No. That’s stupid.
Your draft is very optimistic and I agree on the need for LBs, but no way we take three in a row.
And how is Floyd going to fall that far?
Clear eyes, full bologna sandwiches!
O
Damn that was stupid.
"Public school math has gotten bad the last couple of years huh?" - SGT Steve.
Yep, graduated from college and made the dumbest math mistake ever. I am a failure.
I expected abuse and detractors
But we’ll see…I think Hill will be playing for Stafford before the end of year…If he plays well again this year you’ll see interest skyrocket.
