Yeah, I said it. I saw someone suggest it in one of the other strings, and I think they might have been kidding, but it makes sense to me. There are two people who Philadelphia owe the last 11 years of great football to. Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid. In my opinion, they are both done. But so is the Eagles season, so I would be perfectly OK with reuniting them so that they can retire (or be cut loose) at the end of this year, but with nothing to loose, we do owe these two guys so much.
I think it's clear no amount of coaching can turn VY into a competent QB or a leader and Vick is not the man he was last year. Kafka shows some promise and he should get a chance to play before both VY and MV are gone next year, but I would LOVE to see D.McNabb back, taking a few snaps this year before he goes to the big golf course in the sky - retirement - with his many millions.
Next, year, draft and trade for pure meanness, experience and attitude. Starting with hiring a vicious, ass-kicking head coach - Like the intensity of Mike Singletary - but with a clue. Reid in no Matt Millen, but this year he got close.
For the rest of this year, let's ride it out with some semblence of dignity - if the team can find any hiding somewhere in that locker room. Check the dirty laundry bins. It can't have gone far.
