I'm a first time poster but have read with you guys every tidbit of info and comments on this site. Hell I go about 3 hours a few times a year and haven't seen a win since the hideous yellow blue throw backs. I've yet to give up hope on the season and would like your feedback and thoughts.
I know offseason is always speculation but is anybody on the coaching staff going anywhere. I think if Juan keeps the D playing well he will get another shot just like McDoormat. I'd like MM to get a head coach job with probably Cleveland but who knows. I want Big Red around unless the Chin replaced him and he stepped down on his own. Reality is there won't be many coaching moves and Roseman is here for the long haul in my opinion.
As for the team itself it can go either way, do we even get out of the first round if everything works in their favor. It very well could as anything could happen any given Sunday. If we miss out though that's no excuse because the team should and could have done anything to make this situation we are in a non-factor. I was at the home opener and they stopped serving booze in the second quarter a winnable game. Perhaps Spags gets fired even Morris or Del Rio any of whom are a massive upgrade as DC. Also hoping MM gets a head coach job, maybe Cleveland(he'd look funny in a brown wind breaker suit).
As for the talent on the team my thoughts are to keep both lines intact maybe lose Juqua Parker cuz he's too old to be a bird and maybe change up the depth(i.e. Justice, Laws, Jamal Jackson). I also believe Asante gone unless he keeps tackling like he did Vs. Miami. I think a franchise tag for DJ is in order unless they sign him to a reasonable contract. What we get in return if we lose either man is questionable. Landri, Mathis, and Hanson all deserve to be resigned in my opinion. Shady should also get a new contract with top five money but we will see.
I guess my major point is the draft. I think we have enough firepower and willingness to get Kuelchy if we go that direction. Winning out we won't get the qb of the future Barkely or RGIII(more of an eagle pick than Matt) . If VB is out there still I personally like his hits not NFL potential. I really like that Samu kid but not sure on him yet being available. Dan Persa is a better Kaftka so who knows that could be a late pick. We also haven't seen enough Jarret to make or break him and I see no 2nd to midround safetys to grab(lets not reach). We are set at corner though even if Marsh gets treated like Lindley, maybe a late pick. Andy always looks at the line so that's a possibility. Stupar out of PSU(paterno sandusky ugly) warrants a 4th round pick and could be awesome from what i see. We also need a quality backup for Mccoy not real sure on Lewis but with a real offseason who knows, he has the tools 12-15 lbs. may make a huge difference plus a year in the scheme.
That said unless a miracle happens and we win a Super Bowl this offseason has either alot of promise or failure to get it done. Winning these last few games though probably won't hamper what the Eagles FO is going to do in the offseason. Considering the fact that safetys are available in the free agent market and maybe even a linebacker or two its anyones guess.
