The Eagles opened up as 3 point favorites over the New Jets for this Sunday’s game at the Linc. This was a pretty big surprise considering the Eagles are 5-8 and the Jets are 8-5.

In fact, this it is so rare for a team with the Eagles record to be favored over a team with the Jets record that it hasn’t happened in 25 years according to RJ Bell of Pregame.com.

The question is why? Sure, the Eagles did play well last Sunday, but as we’ve seen this year, that’s no guarantee that they’ll put in another good effort this week. Meanwhile, the Jets have just been pummeling teams over the last three weeks.

It really seems that the netting public got a good first impression of the Eagles and 14 weeks of football hasn’t seemed to change it.
