On another team, Eagles' Smith would be steamed
Two seasons ago, Steve Smith piled up 1,220 yards receiving. Now he's patiently waiting for a chance to contribute to arguably the most talented offense in the league.
Eagles' resurgence begins in trenches - NFC East Blog - ESPN
There are a number of things going right for the Eagles now. LeSean McCoy is running like one of the best backs in the league. Nnamdi Asomugha played last week like the superstar free-agent cornerback he was signed to be. Quarterback Michael Vick is looking more comfortable with new responsibilities that include calling the offensive line protection at the line of scrimmage, and the past couple of games he's limited turnovers. When the Eagles' offense doesn't turn the ball over, it's nearly impossible to stop.
OL penalties: Eagles lead the NFC East – Blogging the bEast
When writing up my picks article this morning, I noticed that the Bears OL had committed 20 penalties this season. It seemed high, but just to be sure, I checked a few other teams for comparative purposes. And… It is high. In doing so, however, I noticed that the Eagles’ total is also quite high
Eagles must avoid the bite of Devin Hester

With Trent Cole, Jason Babin, Julius Peppers, and Israel Idonije, the pass-rushing talent this week will be enough to make Buddy Ryan smile.

My mojo so dope. BITCH!
Revis's Island< Nnamdi's Nation< Jimmy Smith's EGO
Revis has his Island, Nnamdi has his continent, Asante has his no fly zone, and Mr. Rogers has his neighborhood
I love that picture.

Yeah I don't see that happening for Chaney
I started to gain respect for him the way he played at the end of last year, but he has lost nearly all of it by this time this year. He hasn’t played very well as of late and that’s too bad because I was high on him. Hopefully he’s just going through a sophomore slump (even though I know in part its due to the new defense and the lack of LBs ability to make plays in it). But otherwise, he has some improvements to make. He may be the leader of the defense, but that doesn’t mean he’s the most effective all cause he screams at the guys in the huddle.

In the offseason I touted Chaney as a future pro bowler
He isn’t any better than he was last year. I thought he would make a leap, but to this point he has not shown any growth. So I don’t feel as strong as he will.
Joe Banner is Evil Banners father. Kinda like Luke and Darth Vader.
Juan Castillo switching from the offensive line coach to Defensive coordinator is soooo dumb it might just work.
Our defense will not be a top 10 defense this year.

Roles are different
Comparing his role on last year’s defense to his role this year is basically apples to oranges. He may still make the leap…but you can fashion it to what happened with Jason Campbell’s career having a different OC every year. It’s hard to evaluate the jump he “should’ve” made since the scheme was pulled out from under him AND he was put in a different position where he couldn’t finish making the strides he started.
Why do people always think I'm playing the Race Card???
Is it because I'm black???
Juan to know one thing...
why did he start Matthews if this is his train of thought?

Well, Chaney didnt get any snaps at MIKE in the preseason
that could have helped a little bit…
Yea it was pretty bad. Didn’t help that Allen wasn’t healthy and Page was playing. Dude is garbage. If we had a healthy Allen and Coleman to start the year I’m pretty sure we’d be at least 4-3.
The Jruth shall be told.
coleman was benched for playing god awful, he bounced back but he was playing so bad at the beginning of the season, but so was our entire d except for the front 4

he looked pretty promising in the preseason..
i dunno what happened the first couple games..
He was benched for missing one tackle
If that had applied to Page he would have been on the field for one snap… :/

Why arent we throwing to Steve Smith or Riley Cooper?
I would like to see what they can contribute. I know its hard when we have all these weapons, but you see Aaron Rodgers throwing to like 10 different people every game. But I guess if it aint broke dont fix it.
Whos your Daddy?
not everybody
is aaron rogers. vick is good but he’s def not the passer rogers is. He’ll never be able to match his accuracy.

think guys
if he steps up the second half of the yr then in the next few yrs he will be. one bad offseason shouldnt ruin it for him.
Just draft me another LB
If we can draft another LB this coming draft and playing him with Chaney and Rolle, that would be killer. IF they all grow together I think the LB’s could be pretty good for the next 6-8 years. That is our weak spot on the defense right now. Get one good LB to plug in there and I think we could have something good brewing here.
