Eagles Vs Seahawks: Vince Young Likely To Start Thursday
It seems as though we are likely to see Vince Young make his third straight start on Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Michael Vick will miss practice for the second straight day and Young will continue to take all the first team reps. Vick has been throwing on the sidelines, but has not participated in any walkthroughs.
Andy Reid says Vick is improving, but still can't put "torque" on the ball.
"He's making progress every day. Right now he can't torque, put the heavy torque on the ball without feeling some pain there. So I've just got to wait and see. Until that goes away he can't throw consistently."
Jeremy Maclin will also not practice today as he still continues to rehab his injured hamstring
"There's a spot in there that's sore and is tight, and we've got to get that out of there." Reid said "I don't want to take any steps back by throwing him out there in practice today and doing that."

Dont mind my typos, trying to be sneaky at work like the rest of you
Why not just IR Vick, J-Mac and DRC at this point? What do they stand to gain by putting them back out there sort of healthy in week 15?

Vick shouldn't start even if he could
Eagles need to start Young and then trade him for any kind of defensive player that they can get. Trade Young to anyone for anything. Preferably a young LB or actually just anyone but Vince Young.

Meh, I’m on of the weird fans who still wants to win and enjoy watching the Eagles and Vick play so I hope to see him back soon.
We should win the Seahawks game either way. Their defense was meh against the Redskins and our defense should be good enough to stop Tavaris.
So unless Marshawn Lynch goes for 200 yards…
I am the same. I want to win every game, and i want the Boys and Giants to lose every game.

I cant disagree with his sentiment. We should blow them out. He just shouldnt have said it.
we also should have beaten many other of the bad teams we lost to.

at what point does it turn from a ‘should win’ to a ‘shouldnt win’?
by RogerPodacter on Nov 29, 2011 4:36 PM EST up reply actions
when your
leading in late in the fourth when losing going into the fourth and when your defense plays well or falls apart, to many different answers lol
Kind of figured
this was the case. No sense in starting them with nothing on the line. Was excited to see Vick play in person this Thursday but what can you do.

I still think 9-7 wins the NFC East, so until we lose our 8th….yada yada yada.
Do i think the Birds have a chance to go undefeated the next 5? Ha. Maybe 2% chance. But i am going to at least watch and hope that something crazy happens….

If the Cowboys lose to Arizona this week, NFC East will become super interesting.
After going wrong, it would be funny if we were still mathetically alive in week 17
Totally agree. Stranger things have happened.

not that it matters
but i have confidence in young, its the recievers hands im worried about it. and the playcal.. and shady…i need fantasy points. if i win this week i clinch a first round bye which would be huge
Moves like Shady
Maybe
For some reason I think the offseason will be the plan b of the big free agent craziness in August. They are going to get a high pick in the first round and two in the second and possibly trade Asante for a second and third. Probably won’t happen just a thought. Insurance for a crappy season.

I’d rather give Kafka the start. VY is gone and I’d rather see if Kafka is a decent backup going forward.
Hey I had someone ask me today the difference between Vick's injury and Romo's...
anyone know? (Not trying to start an argument, really looking for info.)
"...has been timed at 4.39 in the 40-yard dash, and owning a 40.5-inch vertical jump and a 440-pound max bench press, 605-pound squat and a power-clean of 374 pounds." Could you imagine what it would be like to have somone like this on your team???? Oh we do??? His name is Bruce Carter??? Hmmmm....... interesting.

Im not sure
really but they were broken I believe. I think the main reason we dont see him is that there is no reason to put him out there. No need to rush when the rest of the team is tanking.

I think
from what they’re saying, Vick’s rib injury is located such that it’s effecting his throws, where Romo’s probably were not. I guess that Vick’s are higher on the rib cage, which makes sense as to why throwing would hurt, and why Romo probably had a lung injury out of his.
I don’t remember either, but was Romo’s injury on the right or left side?
I was thinking exactly the same thing and started questioning Vick's toughness....
Im a cowboys fan and I have always questioned Romo’s bipolar decision making but not his toughness. I guess if the injueries are in different places and Vick’s affects the way he throws then he’s right not to play. But I wouldnt give up on the season until the 8th loss. Cowboys (as much as it hurts to admit) and Giants do not impress me much, The NFC East has been a total dissapointment this year.
Roster Update: LB Greg Lloyd has been promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and LB Moise Fokou has been placed on the Injured Reserve list. Lloyd was a seventh round draft choice of the Eagles in 2011.

Great
Now we get to endure another week of that retard saying everyone is blaming VY even though no one is actually blaming him.
The Jruth shall be told.
The VY/Longhorn fans are so annoying. Can’t wait for VY to leave for a number of reasons, including not having to deal with his fans anymore.
