Eagles Monday Injury Report
No rest for the weary this week as the Eagles play on Thursday night, which mean they get no days off this week. Essentially, think of today as a Wednesday in a normal week. The Eagles did not hold a real practice, just a walkthrough, so their injury report is an estimation.
No Participation
CB Nnamdi Asomugha (knee), T King Dunlap (concussion), LB Moise Fokou (ankle), WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring, shoulder), QB Michael Vick (ribs)
Limited Participation in Practice
DT Cullen Jenkins (thumb), RB LeSean McCoy (toe), CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle)
Cullen Jenkins, who has been arguably the Eagles best defender over the last month, says he doesn't think the thumb will prevent him from playing Thursday.
"I don't think so, I mean, besides the pain." Jenkins said, "I'm sure it will be painful to play with but, you know, it's just one of those things."

i have no doubt Cullen will be here next year
I think if lurie is gonna let the fat man stay, he needs to relinquish is role as dictator over the whole fucking franchise! Silly dreaming though

we NEED to keep Cullen he's rapidly becoming one of our leaders on the D
But will he even wanna stay? He has expressed his displeasure on how people play and thrir performance.
Fuck Pacquiao, Marquez got robbed he should be 2-1 in the trilogy. Boxing is just embarrasing now, all to get the biggest payday possible. BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Great fight marquez real fans now who won.

if those issues are worked out im sure of it
And isn’t he on a 5 yr contract? I know only one is grtd but isn’t it up to the team whether or not they want him back?
by sandiegoeaglesfan on Nov 28, 2011 7:50 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
I believe so
and they better keep him, he’s a monster.

He shows CHAMPIONSHIP play
It’s the level the Eagles need to get too. You can really see the difference in his play and a lot of the other defensive players.
Becoming one of our leaders on the D?
I think he is the only leader we have on the D. Maybe, Cole.
Ed Snider is a crotchety old fuck.
That is all.
Trent Cole is more of a “lead by example” guy to me. He’s just not the vocal leader that I feel this defense could use.

Of all the offseason acquisitions, Jenkins is officially the only one I’m proud of. Babin and Cromartie are on the fence.
In 5 years, I want De'Anthony Thomas on this football team.
Jenkins is a monster, Aso and DRC aren’t being used properly (DRC showed a lack of effort on occasion though, not cool), Babin is good… at pass rushing, not much else, Vince Young was an upgrade at QB to backup Vick and SS… ehhh, could have possibly upgraded LB with that $$$.

Why is Steve Smith still on the roster? I mean is he that dumb that he can’t pick up most of the offense by now? I would say keep him over Desean. Another year would do him good, but he probably won’t resign.

I'm at the point
where I’d say… fuck both of em’ lol, but no… I don’t think he’d resign unless the $$$ was there and hopefully it won’t be.

I would agree Asomugha isn’t being used properly, in fact he’s being used incredibly poorly, but after a while you have to blame some of it on the player. He’s been burned on multiple occasions by players I’ve never even heard of before.
In 5 years, I want De'Anthony Thomas on this football team.
I agree
he’s been streaky, but I heard Juan say he’s played more zone than we think… really???
maybe he has, But I sure as hell have never seen that lol… I’ve ALWAYS seen him play press-man in oak

Juan also said
-Casey Matthews has that “It” (note after never having the kid put on a pair up NFL pads)
-Jamar Chaney was a future Pro Bowler at MLB (even though he had him at SAM in the first place)
-We will teach our LB to take on lineman straight up with their hands to help them shed blocks better.
-We have the answers
-We’re getting better

OT but
What do you guys think is our #1 need going into the 2012 draft, I know alot of people have been talking about the good crop of LBers in this draft but I think we have more pressing needs.
1. DeSean Jackson is playing himself out of a contract, and is being unreasonable about the type of money he should get. Assuming he’s gone should a big physical wr be our first pick?
2. Vick is small, we all know his high risk of injury because of his playstyle, not to mention he’s only 6’0 so he needs to take like 20 steps back just to see the lanes (not that this is his fault but it is a factor). We’re obviously not gonna get Luck but from what i’ve been hearing here there’s a few other good QBs in the draft
3. LB, but more specifically do we need a new MIKE backer or better OLBs. Everyone knows the MLBs, Keuchly, T’eo, Burfict. I don’t really know much about the OLBers in this draft, I’m sure some of you do though.
After the throttling from the patriots, and the season in a bigger coma than andy after finishing his post cheesesteak cheesesteak, all we can really do is ride out the rest of the season while looking towards what pieces we need next year

If Eagles naturally fall low enough to get one of the top 3 QBs
Grab one of them! Blackmon if they dump DeSean would be worth trading up for. Then there’s those 5-6 defensive upgrades….

I can see us going QB, LB, LB, WR. Hopefully, we Have a high enough draft pick to land RG3.

I would like to see us take Burfict with our first pick and then trade back up into the 1st round to take RGIII
Picking off QBs, it's in our DNA!!!

Even though most of us saw it coming
Yesterday was still difficult to watch. I was pretty bummed until I was watching an episode of Family Guy then saw a cameo of that little green guy that gets posted on here from time to time:

And for those who dont know what “little green guy” Im talking about:

The Giants are also getting routed, but worse, by the Saints. At least we’re not alone for the week…

Hopefully DRC is available
Because Hanson showed yet again that while he is competent as a slot corner in the nickel, he is hideous out on the corner. Hughes just looked lost and out of his depth.
