At what point do we throw in the towel...

I understand that nobody on the eagles team can talk about playing for 2012, but we've little left to play for now.  We are a terribly bad unprepared NFL team that has been as inconsistant as recent memory can recall.   We stomp the Cowboys 34-7 (which is the best game to stomp in, btw), but in the same homefield get throttled by the New England Patriots...

I can already drop a coin and get the tune we'll be hearing this week....

"We need to look at that"

"We need to do a better job of stopping their offense"

"We need to do a better job of controlling the football"

"We need to stop the turnovers"

"We need to focus on the game we can win... the next game"

Yes... The Eagles are 3-1 in our division.   But we are 4-7 overall?  So we can beat up the teams we play twice in a season, but are stupified if we only play them once?

And as often as we've looked at this, and that, we are coming up with the same story... the same results.

So do we put Kafka in there to get some valuable game experience?   Marsh?  Why not give our backups and reserves who are in their first contract a chance for some game time experience....particularly in a short week with Seattle.

I read fans who haven't let this sink in yet...that if we win out we end up 9-7 and if the stars align we might back into a playoff spot.

BUT.....

If we lost out?  we are 4-12 and that is the worst season in Andy's career since taking over.

After witnessing the debacle at home in a game we had to win to remain remotely optimistic about post season, we came out flat, ugly, and tired.

I find the 4-12 finish certainly deserves being mentioned as often as 9-7...
