The Linc - DeSean Jackson Fined For Taunt Against Giants

NFL Week 12: Eagles Vs. Patriots Preview - SB Nation Philly
New England, which has provided Philly with a few heartbreakers in recent years, from the Super Bowl XXXIX decision to the Birds' 2007 near-upset of a then-undefeated team, will certainly provide a challenge for the Eagles on Sunday--a challenge that might ultimately determine whether or not this club is ready to make a deep run toward the promised land.

Didinger: Eagles-Patriots Scouting Report
Whether it's Michael Vick or Vince Young at the controls, the Eagles will have to attack a weak New England defense if they want to defeat the Patriots on Sunday.

Laws, Jackson fined for hit, taunting | Philadelphia Inquirer | 11/25/2011
Trevor Laws and DeSean Jackson were each fined for their actions against the Giants, according to an NFL spokesman.

Hanson familiar with Welker's route to NFL | Philadelphia Daily News | 11/24/2011
EAGLES CORNER Joselio Hanson remembers when Wes Welker showed up at Texas Tech, taking a scholarship somebody else had turned down. Welker's 5-9 frame and lack of blazing speed made him a tough sell to recruiters, even though, as Hanson recalled this week, Welker was "all-everything" in Oklahoma.

Eagles' young defense ready for Brady
The Eagles defense is young and somewhat inexperienced in areas but it's ready for the challenge of facing an all-time great, Tom Brady, on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles team report: Asomugha iffy; Vick unlikely to play - NFL - Sporting News
Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha’s status is iffy after the Pro Bowl corner hyperextended his knee in Thursday’s practice and sat out Friday, although the injury looked more gruesome and severe than it apparently is. Asomugha can put weight on his knee, although he hadn’t tried to run as of Friday afternoon and is listed as questionable on the injury report.

the fine wasn't because he was taunting

it was because he is a dickhead.

I have this weird idea that the Eagles are fucking with the Pats with some of their injuries.

At least I’m hoping that they are.

Vick and Maclin sat last week. Desean was injured during the game. That’s a lot of setup….

Well, I’m not saying they’re not injured. Just the extent of the injury.

Way different

but it seems like it’d be WAY more effective in football than it would be for hockey. I mean, it’s not like you change your whole strategy because a hockey player is out… might tweak it a bit, but not as drastically as you would change if Young went in for Vick

I like when Desean does crazy things!

This team lacks intensity, and they barely get hype. This is football. Players are so soft now days that it’s almost gay. You can’t expect everyone to react business like and so called “mature” every time they score a touchdown or make a great play. Some players are actually having fun out there. Desean didn’t throw the ball at the guy as if he wanted to hurt him. Can you imagine all of the shit that gets talked to jackson because of how little he is. I would do something after every play I make too if I were him. The MAN RULES of sports are: No caring, having respect for, helping up, or anything positive should be done or acted towards the opposing team until the games over! So desean can run in the endzone backwards and fall in the endzone all he wants. we need some thrill and FUCK YOU attitude on this team anyway.
