Eagles Vs Giants: Vince Young Says He's Ready To Go

Stay connected for news and updates

While the Eagles have not officially ruled out Michael Vick for this weekend, the general feeling around the NovaCare complex seems to be that he won't play. That means that Vince Young will get his shot at the Giants when the Eagles visit the newly named Metlife stadium Sunday night. He says that they've had a good week of practice.

"I feel pretty good. I feel like the guys have done pretty well. Guys have been really studying and our receivers were in with us watching film this week. All these types of things are going to help the guys get going, and the biggest thing if we don't have [WR] Jeremy Maclin is that [WR] Riley [Cooper] will have his chance to step in and make some plays as well. I really feel like practice has been pretty good and the tempo has been pretty good. [WR] DeSean Jackson has been doing a good job and are taking care of their responsibilities."

DeSean Jackson says the team is comfortable with Vince at QB.

"I mean, we've been practicing with him throughout the whole year and he's caught on to the offense in a pretty good way. So we're just trying to keep it simple for him and not put too much pressure on him. But he's a good quarterback, and with the game he played against the Giants last year he was able to beat them. So we just really want him to go out there and give us a chance to win."
