Eagles by the Numbers: Good news for the run defense
The longest run by a Redskins running back in the Eagles’ 20-13 win Sunday at FedEx Field was a six-yarder by Ryan Torain in the first quarter.

The Eagles have given up just nine sacks in the first six games after allowing a hefty 49 last season. They're on a 24-sack pace, which would be the third fewest by an Eagles offensive line since the league went to 16 games in 1978.
Grading The Eagles’ Offense
Now that we've hit the bye week, here are some grades for the Eagles after six weeks this season.
Ideally, Jackson and Maclin will play alongside each other for the rest of their careers. Their respective strengths complement each other perfectly. Years from now, they could be the faces of the most successful era of Eagles football. Or not. Making Jackson happy isn’t going to be easy. Which is why making Maclin happy is the right thing to do.

Since the swap was completed just before the NFL trade deadline, the Birds will not send Brown elsewhere. Apparently, he will resume duty as the third option at running back, behind LeSean McCoy and Dion Lewis, knowing the Eagles tried to obtain a player they liked better. "Lost for words," Brown texted to the Detroit Free Press, when asked for comment.
