I think this starts with Reid and the coordinators. It’s obvious that we don’t have the right pieces to run the Wide-9. Although we do have the defensive linemen and corners, we don’t have the linebackers to support against the run. I don’t think we should abandon the Wide-9 completely. I think we should use the technique on passing downs. I do think we should take advantage of our beast corners and allow them to play man to man, and we should allow our defensive linemen to get after the quarterback. It’s pointless having shutdown corners if they are going to be in zone coverage.

I think our coaches need to do a better job making adjustments during the game. Juan Castillo has been getting outcoached in the second half of games, which is why we’ve had three straight collapses. The opposing teams’ coaches seem to make the proper adjustments at halftime and beat us in the end.

The offense played okay. They played better this week than in the last couple of weeks. But…..Maclin fumbled twice!! You’d think he’d learn after his first fumble, but he didn’t! I felt that if he would’ve held on to the ball, we would’ve won the game. Also, Henery needs to make those FGs!

There is no time for could’ve, should’ve, would’ve.

We are 1-3. Last place in our division looking up at the Redskins lol. One positive is that the Cowboys lost today. I hope the Giants lose, too. Our record won’t look as bad.

However, the Eagles need to get it together soon because this was supposed to be the easiest part of our season. We have some tough division games coming as well as games against the Bears, Patriots, and Jets.

I truly believe that losing against the Bills next week might mark the end of our season, or at least the end of our playoff aspirations.

For now, I will remain optimistic.
