Hello all!
Im a Cardinals fan here with good intentions. Haven't got to see alot of "The Dream Team" this season so I am curious about DRC. You know, DRC, the guy we traded to you for Kevin Kolb.
1.So hows he doin in the city of brotherlee love?
2.Is he seeing alot of playing time? And if so, where at and in place of who?
3.Is he better, worse, or about as good as you expected?
4.What do u guys see as his strengths and weaknesses?
and last but not least,
5.Is he in your future plans?
Cool well thats it guys, just curious about one of the players I really liked that is no longer afforded the privilidge of "Ball Hawking" on my 52" plasma every sunday.
THANKS AND GOOD LUCK!!! (Except week 9)

Well
he has not seen a ton of playing time. He has shown moments of promise but has dropped a few picks that 1 could have gone straight to the house. He is without a doubt in future plans for this team but have to remember he is playing with possibly 2 hall of famers on this team and loses time because of that. Full time starter next season though. And we are better for it since we really didnt need Kolb. Thanks for the furture of our team and hopefully we did the same in return for yours.
+1
And don’t call us ‘the Dream Team’ Francis.
BTW, how are you guys liking old Kevin Kolb over there?
Whoever you are, when I log off, you cease to exist.

He's our Nickel CB and replaced Asante on the outside when he was out for a bit.
He’s played pretty well I’ve seen his speed personally save 3-4 TD’s for us this season and he hasn’t been a liability in the passing game. .. So to answer your questions:
1. He’s doing fine, playing well.
2. I’d say he’s getting 20-30 snaps a game, sometimes more, sometimes less. He’s the Nickel CB so they’ll put him where Nnamdi was and let Nnamdi cover the TE or Slot WR, or sometimes they just put DRC on the Slot.
3. Honestly, having Nnamdi and Asante here I didn’t expect much from him. All I truly expected was for him to be a “back-burner” guy who’s likely here to replace Asante next season.. I’d say he’s probably better than I expected because he’s been solid so far and has saved a few TD’s. (also think he blocked a FG)
4. His Strengths have to be that he fits a man system and a zone system. He’s got long arms and can jam a guy at the Line of Scrimmage, and he’s a ballhawk who can thrive in zone. I do think he’s better in Man Coverage though and that’s what we’ve been running mostly in recent weeks. Oh and that Speed is a strength, I’d be ok with him taking gambles because I know he’s got the speed to recover… His weaknesses to me has to be that he looks super skinny and doesn’t really hit, he’s hit more here than he probably did there but still I’d like to see him lay some lumber every once in a while.
5. No doubt, he has to be in our future plans. He’s only like 25 years old, and we have to CB’s who are over 30. Add in the fact that Asante seems to be getting disgruntled and that DRC is entirely to talented to keep buried on the depth chart and you see that DRC is the future at the CB position of the Eagles…

Let's put it this way
At this point, if the trade would have been DRC for Kolb straight up, id still be happy with the trade.

But we got a 2nd out of it.
So we’re literally walking into the draft next season with:
1st round pick.
2nd round pick.(From Cardinals)
2nd round pick.
3rd round pick.
4th round pick.
4th round pick. (From Bucs)
5th round pick.
6th round pick. (Bronco’s)
6th round pick.
6th round pick. (Patriots)
7th round pick. (Patriots)
Then whatever we got for Harrison
12 picks, 6 in the first 4 rounds… It’s safe to say we’ll likely be wheeling and dealing again this year.

That was my point….even if we had not gotten the 2nd with it, we still would have won the trade IMO.
ie..this was a really bad trade for the Cardinals…..even IF they needed a QB, they could have drafted one.

True, but if Kolb sures up their QB play for 4-5 years then it's great for them.

Playing Well but...
First, I love his speed/size combo. He’s a nice athlete.
But, if I had one immediate beef, (I’m nittpicking here) I’d have to say he lacks some passion/hustle/intensity. This is a general feel I’ve got from him. But one example I noticed today was on Matt Bowen’s breakdown video of Kurt Coleman’s 2nd INT against the Skins.
DRC watches Coleman make the play, stands and watches Coleman sprint by him. Now realistically would he have done much in the way of blocking? Meh….. But neither could any of the other 7 eagles sprinting full blast with Coleman down the field. Asante is lead blocking!, Rolle is full bore looking to destroy, Nate Allen is stoked and chasing, Cullen Jenkins (he’s 305lbs) is running faster than DRC to block.
It probably means nothing, he might just be a good guage of when to turn it on, and when to not, but you don’t see Trent Cole dogging a single play any game. Just sayin…..

Please tell me how much you’ve seen of DRC. The guy hustles, he’s saved 4 rushing TD’s himself by chasing down the RB.

W_E, if you’re telling me you have no issue with DRC’s hustle/intensity, then I’ll chill. And I admit he has certainly chased some plays down. But chasing a ball carier and tackling is his job, intensity is his job, every play.
I don't have any issue with DRC's hustle or intensity.
I could tell by his PC that he wasn’t going to be a hoorah type of guy and that he was going to go out there and do his job then move forward.
Now he’s had TONS of hustle plays, I know for a fact 3-4 of them saved TD’s and I know for a fact the dude’s putting more effort into tackling than he did in Arizona… I’m ok with this.
Now, so he didn’t full out block an OLman on that INT return by Coleman, he still got in his way. Then Coleman just went out of bounds… I’m okay with DRC’s play as of right now.

yes
I would say he is a little bit bitter because he was the starting RCB on our team for about 4 days and then Nnamdi was signed, He will be ok once he gets his starting spot at LCB. Still better him then anyone else we had last year
He isn’t playing as much as he should or probably where he should. He’s being asked to play the slot a lot, where he has understandably struggled at times. He’s been improving there every week though. I would still like to see him play outside more., but it’s tough with two great veterans ahead of him.
He is certainly in our future plans.
He’s also dropped a couple interceptions. One last week probably would have been a pick-6.
It seems likely that after this year Asante Samuel will be gone and DRC will start opposite Nnamdi. I’d be very happy with this duo.
Also, he is extremely fast.
