2011 Free Agents
The Eagles in recent years haven't made a huge splash during the free agency period with the exceptions of Jason Peters, Asante Samuel and of course Terrell Owens. I guess we made a mediocre attempt to get Julius Peppers last year but failed. So my question to you guys is who do you see the Eagles actually signing this season? (assuming we can with this whole CBA ordeal) As much i would love Nnamdi, i doubt were gonna be able to lure him to our team. Here is a list of notable free agents this offseason, minus players who will ultimately stay with their teams like the Peyton Manning and Haloti Ngata, now i know a lot of these players we wont show interest in but im naming free agents that address our teams needs we need to improve on.
1. Nnamdi Asomugha CB (Raiders)
2.Tamba Hali LB (Chiefs)
3. Logan Mankins G (Patriots)
4. Champ Bailey CB (Broncos)
5. Ray Edwards DE (Vikings)
6. Jared Gaither OT (Ravens)
7. Johnathan Joseph CB (Bengals)
8. Davin Joseph OT (Bucs)
9. Carl Nicks G (Saints)
10. Stephen Tulloch LB (Titans)
11. Chad Greenway LB (Vikings)
12. Mathias Kiwanuka DE (Giants)
13. Antonio Cromartie CB (Jets)
14. Ike Taylor CB (Steelers)
15. Eric Wright CB (Browns)
16. Eric Weddle S (Chargers)
17. Barrett Ruud LB (Bucs)
18. Matt Light OT (Patriots)
19. Bernard Pollard S (Texans)
20. Paul Polsluszny LB (Bills)

Oh yeah forgot to add
the possibility of the Redskins releasing Albert Haynesworth. you think we need him? dont need him? more of a luxury type thing for us? I certainly would not trade for him.
Absolutely!!! If you can convince him to play. He is one of the top 3 defensive tackles in the league….
there is no doubt
hes one of the top 3 at DL but you wouldnt trade for him right especially since you know the redskins would boost up thetrade value for us to get him
I'd be thrilled to get Davin and Jonathan Joseph
while not related, they are relative to our needs…
Trevor Laws: "Thank Giants for kicking to (Desean)."
Mike Vick: "Why would they kick to Desean?"
Matt Dodge: "Snap too high!"
NJ Eagle: "Fly Eagles Fly!!!"
Pauly P would be awesome as well

good thinking
To be honest I got caught up the whole NA hype and didn’t even think about signing joseph from the Bengali for much much less and still be solid. Which would free us up for other quality players.
Hold on there.
We made a big push for Peppers. The Bears just refused to let him leave Chicago without signing. His agent at the time said something like, “if we don’t get something worked out here in Chicago, we’ll head to Philly.”
Peppers is a good player, but Chicago overpaid.

42 solo tackles(8th among DEs), 9 passes defended(1st), 18 QB hits(T-5th), 3 FF(T-4th), 10 TFL, 2 INT. He transformed that D-line. They got what they paid for, this year.
Youre absolutely right
I was just being a little harsh on their free agency signing
I think quite a few of these guys sign with their current teams
Especially guys like Barrett Ruud and Davin Joseph who are part of team right on the cusp of doing some good.
I say
we fucking complete overhaul our LB corps…. almost as if this shit was madden….cut akeem…cut gaither…. cut sims…. i wanna say cut Stew but im not confident yet…..keep the young talent to compete and develop….if we’re gonna make a spalsh with a DC….might as well do the same with the players….ooo…sign NA…
Andy Reid is getting impatient like the rest of us….for all he has done…the only thing that would keep him outta the HOF is a SB win….
I dont kno if anyone has noticed this….but every year the steelers draft a LB. Why do this when they have such stud lbs? its part of their STABLE system….teach and develop. So that when duty calls they always have someone to plug into their system.
I really like AR…but this year everything has to be right or else the critics will explode….
The AR wars are in the near future my brothas….prepare

Do you hear that? That's the sound of the media ramming the Miracle at the New Meadowlands down your throat for the rest of your life...BAHAHAHAHA....

my list is fucked up?
It’s not a list of playera I want its just a list I’d free agents we might have the opportunity to attract to our team..
Well it does put together a list of players who are available at our positions of need, so I don’t think its fair to bash it. I like it actually. And jordo, when you look at the comments do you see the little [+] symbol that says “reply”? You can click on that and a text box will pop up so you can reply to specific comments — you should definitely use that when needed. Just so you’re aware =)

Hmm...solid list but forgetting someone like
Richard Marshall from the panthers? A tough physical corner who can cover as well as play the run. Sound tackler. Also, Chad Greenway from the vikings. Those two alone could bolster our defense significantly. Although, I would definitely like Nnamdi because he literally shuts down one side of the field and no one really attempts to throw his way. Same with Asante, I dont know how he came up with as many interceptions as he has because I watched film on that side of the ball and its almost boring because no one was really trying to target whoever Asante was covering. I think if we could though, we should definitely sign Nnamdi. It would generate a whole lot of coverage sacks thus solving our “problems” on the D-line with an undersized pass rusher like Graham and whatnot.
I don’t like Marshall — he got burned a lot last year. I’d much prefer Nnamdi, Joseph, or even Cromartie.

do any of these
guys have knee issues? Or play DE and weigh 165? Or play DE and are too stiff to convert to OLB but we want to anyway? Then we will not pick them up.
