I really want to see Locker.

I’ve always like the guy and think, with development, could be a good Quaterback. I know his accuracy is a concern but the guy has alot of positive intangibles that would help him succeed; size, intelligence, strength. Gotta be honest, would like to see us pick him up but, with so many glaring needs coupled with the fact that hes an early rounder, we probably won’t see him in midnight green.

I heard somewhere, (again heard, not sure if its true) that he ran a sub 4.4 at some point…any one know if that’s true?

Would love locker to mess up somewhere in the process for the birds to get him reasonably.

Marty could make a really good project out of Locker, I'd be willing to take him in the 4th but idk where people have him going,

but I assume higher with all his hype

Locker mock drafts

Most intelligent sports writers have Locker going no earlier than the 2nd round but Cbssports writer/mocker Rob Rang has the Pats taking him with their 17th pick. If Locker can really impress at the combine with either 4.4 40 time or show at least some potential in the accuaracy department he could jump in the first round. Lasting into the forth round is insane, better chance the Eagles get Buddy Ryan as our DC

17 to the Pats?

That makes absolutely no sense haha

Casey Matthews

what are the chances the eagles take a chance on him

by angry bird on Jan 29, 2011 5:01 PM EST reply actions

Casey Matthews

Really depends on his 40 time. If he runs a slow time he could fall into the 5th round but if he runs a time like 4.65 he could go in the 3rd. He is projected to run like a 4.71, so I don’t think the Eagles would take him. We like our LB’s small and fast., unfortunatley.

by MidwesternEaglesfan on Jan 29, 2011 5:05 PM EST reply actions

With an inability to tackle.

by Uhaul on Jan 29, 2011 6:48 PM EST up reply actions

Used to

How do you know our new DC won’t draft for size and instincts? We’ve got a new system that is going to require solid linebacking. Why not start with Matthews if he falls into the 3rd or 4th??

by HankM on Jan 29, 2011 11:21 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

I don't think the dude's as slow as his 40 would show,

I mean game speed and 40 time are vastly different..

I think if Matthews drops to the 3rd we should just pull the trigger, I mean him at any LB spot would be amazing, the only issue is he’s got alot of hype about his brother helping him out and that’s why ppl love him..

I mean would we be talking about the long haired white guy from Oregon if he name weren’t Matthews?

Totally off topic question....

If you had a chance to pick up a Brian Westbrook jersey from WalMart, would you buy it and wear it?

Dudes an eagle legend why not? I still rock my mcnabb jersey here and there. In 5 years they’ll almost be eagle throwbacks.

Yes and No

If it was less than 40(Because you could get it for that on EBAY-new) then yes, but I would frame it next to my Dawkins and Trotter jerseys.

by MidwesternEaglesfan on Jan 29, 2011 5:12 PM EST reply actions

I have a Dawkins jersey that has seen better days and I got a Desean jersey for Christmas. I figured to get a BW black jersey in my size for 15 bucks, I figured what the hell.

Why the hell,

were you running a 40 yard dash 7 weeks after ACL surgery. That seems like a foolish risk.

by Toddzila on Jan 30, 2011 12:01 PM EST up reply actions

Yes it was...

I finished my rehab in 5 months and returned to football offseason workouts in time to make spring football..

but the graft’s fully healed by that point and it was apart of my rehab, they measured my 40 time to show marked improvements and stuff, also I was looking at colleges and I wanted to show my 40 time shortly after surgery (when I first started running) a month after I started running, 2 months etc to show I was getting much better and faster quickly.

Did they do the bench press test?

That’s probably the one test I could ace right now. I think I cold do about 25 right now with strict form. With NFL combine form probably more. I think my vert is around 33 or so inches too which may impress someone.. I wish I wasn’t as slow as Oprah chasing a salad.
