As most of you all have probably heard today that Goodell has said that if there is a work stopage in the NFL he'll cut his salary to $1... Here are my (most likely) unorganized thoughts below...

I'll try to keep it as clean as I can.

Part 1: The insult.

So Goodell and others are going to cut his salary to $1 when (I'm sure it's a when now) there is a work stoppage next year. So you may be asking "so you little fiery manchild wild_eagle how in the world can this be insulting?" well I'll tell you a few ways:

1. They have thought this far in advance and made preparations as to what they'll be doing if/when there is no football... They're spending more time thinking about what they're going to do rather than trying to prevent it.. IDK about you but I find that very insulting.
2. As apart of this he (and I'm sure the others) who make this great sacrifice won't be getting any bonus's until the new CBA is in place.. These are money whores who run the NFL, I'm 100% sure Goodell will make sure his "sacrifice" is well reimbursed with a hefty bonus... Thus making this $1 a PR stunt to try and throw everything on the NFLPA's shoulders.
3. Taking a dollar is like going to a fancy restaurant working the waiter to death then leaving him a penny.

Part 2: My thoughts on the 3 points above...

So instead of working on different ways they're going to PREVENT a lockout they're going to work on how to get paid (or not get paid in this case) just to look good for the public? I'm not dumb, I know that this is probably something Goodell has been working on for a while now.. Trying to make himself look good and shit while making the NFLPA out to look like the bad guys.. I'm not fucking stupid, and neither are you guys we all know it's both parties equally to blame for this CBA issue not making any solid progress.

He'll make sure its well (monetarily) worth not getting a real check once he's able to take that bonus without the Fans trying to hold him to his word..  Like I said this is probably just a PR stunt like "oh look we're not gonna get paid if there's not football buuuut the NFLPA is going to :(((( "..

Quite honestly this is how I feel pretty much summed up..  I hate Goodell.

Now I know the NFLPA is to blame too, however I just find it insulting to fans that Goodell would want to do this, I honestly was expecting him NOT to get paid anything, I mean he's obviously not doing his job now, I doubt he'll do it properly then.. This isn't a way to show commitment to getting the work done, this is a stunt to put pressure on the NFLPA, if he really wanted to make himself look much better he would've waited until there was a lockout or "work stoppage" then cut the salaries that they're "going to cut now" and then "accidentally" leaked it out to the public that they're not getting paid and they're still trying to fix the CBA, it would've been much more effective..
I think GODell is the worst thing to happen to football. He's ruining big hits, he's pussifying the game and now he's insulting the fans... Get the fuck to work buddy and make sure we have football on time this year.
