Watching Dimitri Patterson fill in for Hobbs this past year, it really seems like he likes playing aggressive and up on receievers, basically the opposite of what Asante Samuel does. He's also bigger than a lot of cornerbacks and as we've seen, he's a great tackler in open space - against WR screens or RB checkdowns.
I've been saying this since the Dallas game, he likes playing instinctively and doesn't quite have the skills to cover top tier WRs, they just blow right by him. I think he would benefit a lot from playing a backup role to Mikell, and eventually take over that spot if he shows us enough. What do you guys think?
