First off on behalf of Route36, Evilbanner, and myself, I must say we told you so. McD sucked and needed to go. OK Im done boasting. Second off I must say that I WAS WRONG about Ernie Sims he sucks. On to some real shit. Heres some thoughts that Im wondering that are most likely going through your heads and the Eagles FO.

Can we run the 3-4?

I had an epiphany yesterday and realized that I think we can run the 3-4. We all know that in order for the 3-4 to have any kind of success it starts with the front 7. You need 4 quick LBs who are strong enough to shed blocks and cover, a bull at NT and two large but quick DE's. So I looked up some of the best 3-4 defenses in recent memory to compare if we have what it takes PHYSICALLY. 

Now here comes the interesting part. Say the eagles are running the 3-4 and training camp arrives and no ones job is safe. Keenan Clayton showed some promising signs this season and my boy Ricky Sapp will be ready to roll. If Dixon is our staple at NT then Patterson and Laws should be effective in a proper rotation ( I thing we're trading Bunkley). Chaney and Bradley should win the inside jobs but you never know when you switch schemes. Bradley might be better on the outside. Lets look at the possible candidates starting from REASONABLE scratch. 

Ok so we are undersized and excel wouldn't average my heights and I'm not doing it by hand. But keep in mind that these were championship caliber defenses that had drafted accordingly to the scheme. They've been saying we are undersized for years but EFF it we're winning anyways. Im going out on a limb and saying that Ricky Sapp will be starting somewhere on this D next year. If we implement a 3-4 it will be a work in progress, but it couldnt be worst than this years D. Keep in mind that just be cause we are a base 3-4 doesnt mean we toss our 4-3 and bear packages. What do you guys think?

Nnamdi Asomugha

I dont know if you guys have seen this video but its pretty scary how he shut down one of the best receivers in the league. No need to head into the what ifs, we all know how scary our D would be with him. There's no doubt in my mind that Andy Reid and the FO are having wet dreams about him. 

Kurt Coleman's Potential

I really wish I could find video of that Vikings game, but I really believe we have found Mikell's replacement. He made mistakes this year like every young rookie. He is an aggressive ball hawk, alot faster than I thought with 4.5 speed and sits a 192. He will get bigger and he will get better, the skys the limit for this guy. Sad but this is the only video I could find.
