Philadelphia Eagles Final 53 Man Roster (For Now)
The Eagles have completed their cuts and their roster officially sits at 53. I'll pretty much guarantee that this won't the 53 they take into week one, but for now this is who made the team.
QB (3) - Kevin Kolb, Michael Vick, Mike Kafka
RB/FB (4) - LeSean McCoy, Mike Bell, Eldra Buckley, Leonard Weaver
WR (5) - DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, Riley Cooper, Hank Baskett
TE (2) - Brent Celek, Clay Harbor
OL (9) - Jason Peters, Winston Justice, Jamaal Jackson, Todd Herremans, Austin Howard, Reggie Wells, Mike McGlynn, King Dunlap, Nick Cole, Max Jean-Gilles*
DL (10) - Brandon Graham, Trent Cole, Mike Patterson, Brodrick Bunkley, Juqua Parker, Antonio Dixon, Darryl Tapp, Antwan Barnes, Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, Trevor Laws
LB (7) - Stewart Bradley, Ernie Sims, Akeem Jordan, Keenan Clayton, Jamar Chaney, Omar Gaither, Moise Fokou
CB (6) - Asante Samuel, Ellis Hobbs, Joselio Hanson, Dimitri Patterson, Trevard Lindley, Jorrick Calvin
S (3) - Quintin Mikell, Nate Allen, Kurt Coleman
ST (3) - David Akers, Sav Rocca, Jon Dorenbos
* Max Jean-Gilles was cut when the trade for Stacy Andrews came too late. The Eagles plan to re-sign Max on Sunday or Monday.

Freakin Dunlap.

Stockton to Malone- The perfect combination!!

MonSTARZ forever!
McGlynn
Glad he’s staying in Eagle green. While I’m not happy keeping queen or Cole on our OL.
I hope I am wrong, but Kolb is a four-letter word.
it may be a stupid question...
but are we allowed to sign a player back to our active 53 roster after cutting them.
Yes
Sometimes it's just fun to take the family for a spin around the lake in the old boat. Even if it's not your family or your boat, and they're screaming for you to stop.

Jorrick made the roster.
Well I’ll be damned. Awesome!

For now...
I’m guessing he’s a prime candidate to get cut if the Eagles pick up a TE or safety.

Well he could easily be gone too. They’re light at safety and TE.

i cant wait until calvin becomes a superstar and we get rid of asante and calvin and hobbs are our starting cbs.
because its going to happen like that.

I figured Jamar would make the roster
The Eagles were pretty high on him and they did trade away a draft pick to get him. He’ll spend some time learning, but I liked him coming out of college.
I think
Buckley is safe. Calvin and Dunlap may be gone for a safety and TE though.
why do we need Thomas Howard? He isn’t good enough to start for Oakland and we have plenty of LB’s unless he can cover tight ends why would we give up a draft pick or player for him?

can he play strong side? we are plenty loaded on the weakside

please
stick them both back there just once a la Madden. Just so we can literally have Calvin and Hobbs. Just once.
Nope.

Any possibility that the Eagles pick up Selvish Capers? The Skins just cut him earlier today.
DAT ASS!!
Isn’t he the guy that Brandon Graham abused in the senior bowl?

few questions
When will Andy Reid give up on King Dunlap?
Are there any free agent safeties on safites on the trading block that are better than either Macho or Demps?
Did the Eagles keep Colvin just so the union would stay off their back?
What has Jamar Chaney done to deserve a roster spot?
Who's Been Eatin' Hummus?
She passed wind, excused herself, and sponged off in the corner as I sat dazed and confused...
Stacy Andrews trade did not go through until after 6 PM, so Max Jean-Gilles was released. He will be re-signed tomorrow.
My thoughts
A couple of shockers…..Macho Harris and Demps both go leaving us with just 3 Safeties? Stacy Andrews to Seattle. Anyone remember the talk of the Andrews Wall last year? Well, there will obviously be more moves. We have to have a 4th safety by Green Bay. Who will it be? How about a trade to get Dawkins back?! ;-) Hope Chad Hall and Cornelius Ingram both land on our practice squad. Go Eagles!!!

Sorry for the multiple posts but some big news
GM Howie Roseman: Nick Cole will be starting RG
Yep
Jackson has been quoted this week saying he is 99.9% sure he will be good to go in the opener.
So where does WELLS FIT IN?
"When you cut me I'm not like the others, I bleed but it's not red... IT'S GREEN"
UNDER NICK COLE, HOPE NOT

I was happy we kept Calvin.
I was moderately disappointed we did not keep Kelly Washington. I preferred him to Baskett.
I am thrilled Stacy Andrews is gone.
I would have liked Dunlap to be gone.
I would have liked Hanson gone too.
Overall, I feel good about this team and the decisions!
PUT MALLET ON PS!!!!!!
"When you cut me I'm not like the others, I bleed but it's not red... IT'S GREEN"
Only 3 Safeties?
Didn’t my Cowboys take out three of your safeties in just one game last year? I seem to remember you boys having to call a time-out just to get Macho on the field to stagger around while we scored a touchdown.
And your choice of a 3rd is a bit frightening.
As a Buckeye, I enjoyed watching Kurt Coleman. But I never thought of him as an NFL-caliber safety. He’s next in line if either of your starters has to miss time? Oh man, that is shakey.
Hope your secondary stays healthy this year.
Just hope all your guys stay healthy
And don’t let Doug Free get to them like he did to Randall Gay.

and hes a perfectly realiable saftey
I am not at least one bit worried about safety…The Eagles are probably going to pick another one up but if Coleman plays the way he did during camp and preseason the eagles wont have to worry about safety for a long itme

2010-11 Predictions:
Kevin Kolb will go to the probowl and complete >65% of passes.
Jeremy Maclyn will have more receptions than Miles Austin & Steve Smith
Graham will have the starting LDE spot tied up by week 5, win ROTY, and have >10 Sacks
11-5 finish.

Lol
You only kept 3 corners, you better hope teams don’t decide to spread the field with 4 receivers at some point in a game against you, but that would be like praying for the sun not to rise.
http://twitter.com/Kyle_Dwyer
Did you watch our preseason games at all? Probably not, I mean, the Eagles are NEVER a threat to the great Cowboys…
But Coleman was tearing it up in games and in practice. I wouldn’t mind if he had to start, but he doesn’t. He’s the backup and a pretty good one at that. Not to mention that Clayton played safety in college. But you’re right, we’re in really rough shape. You guys are all set as long as the Eagles and Giants only feel like using three of their receivers and one TE… I’m sure you’ll be fine.

serious question
Dont flame me for a stupid question but how long will it be until wells is starting RG?
high hopes for Nate Allen...
Not a stupid question...
I would hope guess two weeks or so. Possibly earlier.
I put a dollar in a change machine. Nothing changed.
By my count, we now have 12 rookies on the 53-man roster.
Wow. That’s ludicrous.

Possible moves
Looks like we have an extra OL and an extra CB in this 53-man roster (if we’re being traditional with the depth chart). Do we pick up another WR/TE and S, or would one of the CB’s be the 4th S?
I don’t believe he’s played there since his freshman year of college, but Clayton might be able to play there in an emergency.

They'll probably keep Jorick Calvin just to keep the union off their ass while they investigate that trade
Kidding on that. They are too heavy at CB with him on the roster. I’d rather see King Dunlap get cut. Would be nice if Calvin would stick for the roster for the opener and take over primary punt return duties from DeSean.
Hank Baskett! I think a lot of people are surprised he made it.

You laugh but I bet you that played a HUGE roll in keeping him.
I bet it didn’t since that story is complete nonsense. MOre likely is that they kept Calvin because after cutting Demps & Harris they have virtually no one else left kick and/or punt return experience outside of the starters.

Is jackson still returning kicks/punts this year?
It's just about time for us to get out there and win a MF Game!
fantasy football
I just need 1 Eagles fan to complete my NFC Rivals league on NFL.com. Proper divisions, draft on Tuesday night at 9:00PM EST. If anyone is interested in representing the Eagles, the League ID is 94216, go to "received an invite" in fantasy, no password is required. Make it happen Philly!
Myron Rolle cut
I know alot of people wanted him in thedraft.

Myron Rolle
Was supposed to be first round talent until he dropped several rounds because he went to oxford. Eagles won’t be interested because he dropped for a reason other than a torn ACL.
He was never supposed to be a first round talent. People way overrated the guy.

Apparently there are a lot of teams (rather, fans of teams) interested in Ingram and Harris.

Well, a lot of experts were ogling Ingram this offseason coming off knee surgery. So it’s easy to imagine why a more uninformed fan would be intrigued.
I guess people like Macho because of the adversity in his past and (I guess) his versatility? There’s gotta be something, I just don’t know.
I put a dollar in a change machine. Nothing changed.
