The Linc - It's All Michael Vick, All The Time
Reid's move to Vick in best interest of all, including Kolb - NFL - CBSSports.com Football
By naming Michael Vick his starting quarterback, Andy Reid has made a bold and ingenious move. In effect, he took the heat that was reserved for his young quarterback, Kevin Kolb, and put it on someone who is more experienced and better prepared to handle it. Himself.
Rich Hofmann: QB switch puts Reid on the hot seat | Philadelphia Daily News | 09/22/2010
IF THE EAGLES do not make a run in the playoffs this season, Andy Reid is on the clock in 2011. He has to be, after this. What once was an intricately planned debut season for Kevin Kolb is now, apparently, a win-at-all-costs race to the finish with Michael Vick.
Again Eagles' Backup, Kolb Remains Diplomatic
Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb is clearly disappointed in being the backup but after being demoted said all the right things.
Bob Ford: With Vick as the starter, Eagles are making bid to win now | Philadelphia Inquirer | 09/22/2010
All right, maybe it's not a rebuilding season, after all. If there's anything substantial to take from Tuesday evening's bombshell dropped at the NovaCare bunker, that would be it. The Philadelphia Eagles are in the business of winning football games and Andy Reid believes Michael Vick can win more of them right now than Kevin Kolb. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

TheWizWit: Get Your Stalker On: TheWizWit Mike Vick Email Apocalypse
The fact that every media outlets' go-to line is something pet related has begun to irritate the crap out of me. I sent an email to my two cohorts here at TheWizWit this morning expressing my disgust as I tried to get a confirmation that I'm not crazy and heartless for thinking the way I do.

David Buehler is wide right in practice - NFC East Blog - ESPN
ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon reports that Cowboys kicker David Buehler continued his struggles in practice Wednesday before reporters were sent back to their cubicles. Buehler nailed one from 23 yards and then missed his next four attempts wide left, wide right, wide right, wide right, according to MacMahon's report.

Antrel Rolle's Outburst Should Get Everyone's Attention - Big Blue View
I have to admit I was a bit surprised -- maybe even a lot surprised -- by what seemed like overwhelming support about BBV for Antrel Rolle following his extremely candid WFAN radio appearance Tuesday. There were, of course, some who believed Rolle -- a newcomer to the Giants -- had no business speaking out the way he did. The primary sentiment, though, can be summed up as "thank you, Antrel, for saying much of what we have been thinking."

I love how everyone says ANdy is on the hot seat year after year
I dont care how well we do or don’t do this year we have a LOT of young talent on this team that Andy built. Hes one of the most winningest coaches in history and by far one of the most winningest coaches in Eagles history. Our stadium sells out within 2 minutes of ticket sales and by all accounts i think we look pretty good overall. Some kinks here or there, but were in the thick of things
DO i even have to say it? ANdy will be here for quite some time

and the skins offense
I admit, it looks better than I thought, but let’s hold off before we anoint them. THey looked like CRAP against the Cowboys and I saw quite a few blown coverages for big plays against the Texans (i have direct TV, i can see any game I want). McNabb did look sharp in some of his throws but he still struggles in the red zone and misses guys like Joey Galloway running wide open down the field. Let’s hold off before we call them the 98 Vikings

IMO all this talk about Reid being on the "hot seat" is non-sense.
The man just signed a 5 year extension last year, and he is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in the league. He’s not going anywhere, any time soon.
Totally agree. I think all this talk of Reid being on the hot seat is absurd. Did the Eagles sneak in a couple of 2-14 seasons when I wasn’t looking? I really don’t see how you can make a judgement on this move for at least two seasons.
Fuck that.
Andy made this move to win the Super Bowl this year. If we don’t at least make the NFC championship, he should be fucking fired.

So if Kolb started and we went 3-13 should reid still be fired..
Or is it OK because Kolb has the green light to lose?

Bottom line
Reid should be fucking fired.
"Up yours, asshole!"--EvilBanner to effeminate yachtsman Boston Jeff Lurie
Ok, so he made the move to win this year. By saying that, I’m assuming you’re saying he’s jeopardizing the future. Which is fine, except, we haven’t seen how the future plays out yet. So yeah, if the Eagles go 8-8 or lose in the wildcard round this year, then are mediocre-to-bad next year (or whenever there’s an NFL again), then maybe it’s time to take a look at Reid’s job security. But again, we have no way of knowing any of this yet.
so...
I wonder if anyone thought to check on big stu.
2010-11 Predictions:
Kevin Kolb will go to the probowl and complete >65% of passes.
Jeremy Maclyn will have more receptions than Miles Austin & Steve Smith
Graham will have the starting LDE spot tied up by week 5, win ROTY, and have >10 Sacks
11-5 finish.

What’s a “Michael Vick”?
Kolb - a heavy medieval war club with a spiked or flanged metal head, used to crush armor - Wikipedia of course
I've been waiting my whole life for an Eagles Championship
RIP JJ
A Michael Vick is a black quarterback who just TOOK away Kolbs starting position by outplaying him.
A Michael Vick is a Desean Jackson speed quarterback, who recently put up numbers and made some passes as good as Peyton Manning. (did you see that perfect bomb vick threw to Jackson on 3rd down over the middle.. he threw it from the 21 yd line to the other 21 yd line and it was a perfect pass between 3 defenders.)
