Best opening day game we’ve had in a while. I like our D, and our chances. Bu the way, “Struggle with Romo’s balls in D.C.” is a FANTASTIC quote! Haha… The mental pic I have is great…

I Have a Bad Feeling About This Game
I’m already looking for a silver lining. ie, “Maybe they can learn from their mistakes!” “Kolb looked good!” etc..
I am as loyal and hopeful as the next Eagle fan, but this Packers team is really good. I felt the same way when we played the Saints last year. We were never in that game. Kolb looked good.

Any given Sunday, brother. Any given Sunday.
I put a dollar in a change machine. Nothing changed.

I third it
Hobb’s fumble that resulted in a TD, then Kolb’s interception right after effectively ended the game, but that was the halftime kickoff. We were very much in the game through the first half. I certainly had hope to win it until those things happened.
Whatever, it looked shaky the whole way. I was hoping they would step it up.
That game was not close.

they were down three at the half
…things got bad in the second half, but they were not shaky to start the game.
No, they were down four at the half. 17-13
That was deceptive. It was shaky! We had ONE play during the first half, a 71 yard TD to Jackson in the first quarter. We could only muster 2 field goals after that in the first half while NO had 2 touchdowns and the momentum. I could not find the half time stats. But I remember thinking they were LUCKY to be down only 4.

sorry I forgot it was 4 points and not 3. It’s only been a year…or should i say 51 weeks? haha
At the end of the first quarter, it was 10-7 NO. Saints were driving and then Brees threw a pick at the eagles 29 on a 3rd and 2.
We had ONE play during the first half
The eagles then took over at 10:58 in the second half and kicked a FG with 2:42 left in the half. 10-10 (15 plays, 8:20)
The saints then got a quick TD to go up 17-10, then the eagles responded with a FG to end the half at 17-13.
To recap: the saints start on a methodical drive and score a TD. We respond with a quick TD. The saints tack on a FG, we go on an 8 minute drive and get a FG of our own. The saints get a quick TD, we get a quick FG.
…that’s really not shaky. The second half was awful, but the eagles played with them for the first half.
I got you. But I remember when they were down 17-10, I did not feel good
about the game.

The Eagles were in the playoffs last year, they’re at home. The Packers are good, but they weren’t notably better than us last year. Why should we assume they’ll waltz into Philly, where they haven’t won in 40+ years and blow us out?

To defend McNabb is to learn that he’s “your boy,” that you are just defending him out of some personal loyalty or naiveté.
Wait, so there are other Joe_D’s out there?

i loved the FO article
That 23-11 win against the Giants in 2009, the last game my aunt ever saw? It never happened, you see, because McNabb was a choke artist who never won a big game. Ever. OK, so it happened. But it wasn’t a big game. Playoff games against the Giants aren’t big, right? Big games are defined as games lost by McNabb.
Cant wait
to kick off the season. Aaron Rodgers is gunna break out for an amazing season. Everyone should definitely check out bettorbelieveit.com. Those experts are incredible. The baron capper has gone 6-1 to start the season for me.
That FO article was the best sports article I've read in a long time.
No offense to any of our writers on here of course.
