Hard to believe he was only drafted two spots below DeSean Jackson in the 2008 draft...

Oh, and for the record, that makes their starting receivers Santana Moss and Joey Galloway. Best of luck, guys.

Weren't they already the starters?

I thought Malcom was the 3rd WR because he wasn’t doing too hot in camp.

Get in my way and I will either run you over or EAT you!

I Have No Idea

how Devin Thomas didn’t win that starting job. It was his for the taking, and he just underperformed. This injury might give him some playing time, but it says a lot about how the Redskins WR’s have some serious issues.

Santana’s a decent target, but Galloway is old and did almost nothing in the pass-happy Patriots offense last year (I believe it was the Pats), and Thomas has had a terrible preseason and is underwhelming. Kelley wasn’t great, but any WR injury on a team with this kind of WR depth is disturbing. Looks like Cooley and Moss will be the only two viable targets.

I read somewhere that lil’ Shanahan thinks he can do the same stuff for Moss that he can for Andre Johnson. I had to re-read it a few times because Moss isn’t on the same planet as Andre Johnson.

He's best from the slot receiver position.

But if there’s no help from the #1 and #2 receivers, Santana’s in trouble…

Guess they’re hoping for a lot out of Devin Thomas.

For all the crap we give Wil Wheaton, he can still tackle better than Asante Samuel...

I traded Santana Moss for Mike Sims-Walker in fantasy. Smart?

smart move

Would’ve been not to draft moss in the first place.

2010-11 Predictions:

Kevin Kolb will go to the probowl and complete >65% of passes.

Jeremy Maclyn will have more receptions than Miles Austin & Steve Smith

Graham will have the starting LDE spot tied up by week 5, win ROTY, and have >10 Sacks

11-5 finish.

No...

Sims-Walker is Garrards favorite target, McNabbs favorite target will most likely be Cooley. Plus Sims-Walker gets in the end-zone more and is probably the better WR now.

Oops...

I read that wrong I thought you traded Sims-Walker for Moss.

I’m gonna hold off ripping on the Redskins receivers. They always seem to crawl out of the grave to kill us

IMO, James Thrash patented it...

For all the crap we give Wil Wheaton, he can still tackle better than Asante Samuel...

Did ya know...

We traded Thrash for a 5th rounder to Washington and that pick became Trent Cole? I love me some James Thrash!

It's "Kolb"ering time!

We'll always underestimate Thrash...

until he does this, that is…

And maybe some of this.

For all the crap we give Wil Wheaton, he can still tackle better than Asante Samuel...

He had those?

I thought he was still pouting on the bench…in 2005.

During that second highlight the announcers were shouting about how a Skins wideout finally caught a TD. Of course, they had to playing us.

I think that might have been Thrash's only receptions of that season.

Gulp.

Nahh...

McNabb’s gone, and he always saved his worst for Washington.

Not to mention...

Grossman as potentially the starting QB, at least for the opener…

Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

Heard from ESPN this morning that devin thomas may get cut Saturday despite the injury to Malcom Kelly. Crazy.

by PhilsForever on Sep 1, 2010 11:43 AM EDT reply actions

Wow

I really wanted Thomas and Sweed in 2008 and both look like busts. Reid seems to prove me wrong alot lately.

I'm not drunk I'm just drinking.

Sweed wasn't THAT good...

He never met a pass he couldn’t drop at Texas or Pittsburgh.

THAT is a bad move.

Washington has gone crazy. Not that they weren’t already crazy to begin with, though…

But Joey Galloway and Santana Moss have teh super speed according to Madden! They’ll score every play!

Some guys just have speed, and for whatever reason age doesn’t seem to hinder it much. i think the problem will be fragility, Galloway has struggled more and more with that recently.

Galloway had to run more than just fly routes in New England...

That, and a few drops, killed his Patriots career. I’m not putting down his accomplishments with Seattle and Tampa Bay, but he could NOT be on the other end of a Tom Brady pass.
