I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here who no longer owns the jersey of a current Eagle. 99 and 92 are dead. 53 is retired. 20 is in Denver, 5 is a Deadskin. 26 should be retired. I have a bad feeling his last play is gonna involve a stretcher. /knocks on wood hoping i'm wrong. The problem is not too many choices, but a lack thereof. Please to let me explain why the obvious choices are anathema to me.
10: It would not surprise me if this is his last year. If Drew goes out and demands Revis like $, I doubt Howie's going to bend over when he's going to need to resign Stew and Kolb as well. Especially when he can get a high 1st round pick with the certainty of a Rookie Salary Cap next CBA. Don't think its likely but I'm afraid to jinx it.
4: I'm not buying anybody with 2 starts. If I did I'd probably own a Spoon.
Any Rookie: See above.
58: I'm a bit of an Animal nut. I actually respect those hunters who always eat their kill. Much more humane than a slaughter house, but still it makes me uncomfortable.
7: See above, except on crack.
55/87: Am I the only one who looks around and no matter what team it is, other than superstar skill position guy, the next most popular # is always the BWP. Best White Person. Tebow is the top selling jersey. He's not even good. Sure 55/87 having my back would be an honor, but I don't want to look like that guy in the Welker jersey. I always assume they must be skinheads on the inside. And no I will not apologize to Welker fans. Screw You.
43/81: Even though I'm supersticious (and unable to spellcheck) it really bothers me when people are pushy about their religious beliefs. Unless your 92,of course. Reggie could've eaten live puppies on the sideline and I'd still love him. They only other exception is if someone thanks G-d for disliking the other team. How cool would it be if Kitna is Qbing for Dallas and after they lose Winston Justice credits the win on the fact that "G-d hates Jon Kitna" If he does I will break this rule and buy a 74. Maybe two.
79: I've been a fan since he was drafted and would love to take a spin in his van, but he is banged up for the rest of his career. How long can he last? /knocks on wood 3X, again.
Right now I'm leaning towards 46 but he's been in the league 8 years already. Can long snappers last 12 years? 16 seems safe to. I am considering breaking the Rookie Rule for 68. Any suggestions?
