Philadelphia Eagles Fantasy Football Projections: Brent Celek
CBSSports.com is SB Nation's fantasy football partner. SB Nation has a deal with CBSSports.com offering their Fantasy Football Commissioner leagues at half-price. If you're interested in purchasing a league for half price, make sure you do it through this link so BGN gets the credit.
We're continuing our series of fantasy football projections for the notable Eagles. Next up is Brent Celek. So far CBSSports.com has been high on all of the Eagles skill position players and while they project a regression for Celek, they're still obviously high on him. CBS has him ranked as their #5 overall fantasy TE(SBNation's FF rankings had him slightly higher.). They're projecting him to catch 73 passes for 880 yards and 7 TDs.
Those numbers are just a tick below what he actually put up last year(76/971/8), so really they just project him to basically hold steady from last year's breakout performance. It is fair to point out however, that Celek's two best fantasy games last year came with Kevin Kolb at QB.

Disagree wit those numbers
His stats go up. He’s got good chem w/ Kolb.. if only 1 player’s stats go up due to the qb change, its Celek.

I think this year his stats go up, but I kind of agree with Peter King a little bit. I think his stats go up at the cost of the other skill players.
Let the beasting begin.

Yeah, I don’t think Avant is going to get the ball as much this year.

I think Avant and Celek could see the ball more as they are sort of the “check down” type of receivers. I don’t think there will be as much for Maclin and DeSean though.
Let the beasting begin.
