Through the eyes of wild_eagle...

So, last night sucked dick... Enough said about the overall picture, here's some positives and negatives from last night and then some random thoughts.

Positives:

  • Graham looks like he's going to be a star, I'm thinking he's going to start week 1. He plays so low to the ground and is so fast off the ball, him combined with Cole looks like it's going to be a fantastic thing.
  • Nate Allen seems willing to pop somebody, aside from his "welcome to the nfl" moment last night he's shown us some great shit. Did anybody see him defend Ocho on that deep ball when Hanson fucked up?
  • Defensive line looks very good with the exception on one player(see below)
  • When our OL actually opens up a hole McCoy's getting 5-8 yards a pop, sometimes more.
  • Kolb seems to have the respect of the team and it shows.
  • Cooper looks like he's going to be a player in this league.
  • That CB Patterson looks like he's playing balls out, a forced fumble, an INT and a key hit which caused an INT, that's not something you just count as an enigma.
  • Lindley looks very good, plus he's a pretty big CB and I love his physicality.
  • Kurt Coleman looks pretty good, he's had a few good games and I already like him more than Demps
  • Our LB's look pretty good, although we are going to have some trouble with bigger TE's.
Negatives:
  • Hanson looks like shit, he's gotten burned every single game, and he's been one of the only ones that have given up big plays. Not to mention he sucks dick at jamming the WR, he wiffs half of the time and gives them a little pussy shove when he actually does get his hands on them.
  • Maclin getting hurt was pretty bad and his fumbles weren't a good thing, hopefully he gets better and fixes that problem.
  • Our OL looks pretty ify, I hope we can start getting a push and opening more holes.
  • Without Asante we look as if our DB's are going to be lost.
  • Weaver looked like shit last night.
  • We need to start scoring in the redzone and getting the backup TE's more involved.
  • Jaqua Parker looked like he had a stick up his ass and couldnt even move.
My thoughts:
  • At Center we should really just leave McGlynn, I like what he's been doing so far and their were a few times that I saw the entire OL get blown up and he was the only one that didnt give up any ground, I think if this kid can play at a high level or even just continue how he's been going we can just move Nick Cole to RG where he played most of last year and that would help sure up our Offensive Line enough to possibly move the ball on the the ground more.
  • Jaqua Parker looked like shit last night, I've been watching him these past two games and he's really slow off the ball, he stands up to high way to much and he's hardly getting a push, sure he makes some plays however he's getting blown up 90% of the time. This is why I think we need to just let Graham start as the RDE and have JP spell him.
  • I want to see Fokou a bit more at SAM LB, Akeem seems to be doing solid however I think Fokou's got some potential we need to develop and utilize. Also adding a bigger bodied Fokou at SAM would beef up our LB's some more. Please keep in mind that I'm still pro Jordan at this position.
  • As far as CB goes I think our primary backups should be Patterson and Lindley. Macho's been hurt to long and must be out of football shape at this point and Hanson just straight up sucks. Patterson has been making noise all training camp and looks as if he fits the bill as a future starting CB for this team. Lindley is a rookie who's been making a little of his own noise, and in my opinion should end up being a big time player for us.
