Well, like the rest of you, I watched last nights game with trepidation fearing that, as any Eagles fan would know, the players getting through the game unfazed. But, we were given the scary sight of watching Kolb "run for his life" as Jimmy said earlier. He can't be more right. But as I watched this game, it became evident that not only was the interior line, if not all the line, awful, but Kolb's cadence was also to blame. Now hear me out. If you watch the game, McGlynn was in front of his man 95% of the time. He was in the right position, but consistently on his back foot being pushed off the ball immediately as if the NT knew when that ball was going to be snapped. Now I am not saying its all on Kolb, the line was dreadful, but the Bengals D, most notably the LB's, did not flinch throughout the game (1st half). When they blitzed, either up the middle or off the edge, they came in barely touched and full speed, like they knew exactly when that ball was snapped. Give them credit. Their LB's weren't hesitating, they timed those blitzes perfectly. Its not only the line that was awful. I am a Kolb fan, I think he is what this team needs, accuracy and great ball placement, but his presnap presence MUST be better if this line is going to get any better. Oh yeah, we also need Jamal and Todd back, that might help a little too. Did anyone else notice this?
