BGN-Roster OL
FB: Weaver
WR: Jackson, Maclin, Avant, Cooper, Washington
TE: Celek, Harbor, Ingram
The offensive line is last, but certainly not least. Jason Peters and Winston Justice are returning from great years. Peters, traded for last year was actually underrated by most last season. Eagle fans realize how important and good he was last year.
Peters returns to us healthy and more comfortable in our system. And he needs to be taking on Osi Umenyiora, Aaron Kampman, Clay Matthews, Brian Orakpo, Demarcus Ware, and more. For Kolb to be accurate like the coaches would like, Peters needs to give Kolb some time.
Winston Justice was more than a pleasant surprise last season, as young Andrews was not ready (neither were) and most were skeptical of Justice, deeming him a bust. I expect him to be the most dependable offensive linemen after Peters.
Behind the Tackles are very limited, so there won't be voting on them. Austin Howard, undrafted rookie this year, has had an impressive camp, taking King Dunlap's old spot at LT as the Eagles move the former basketball player to the right side.
The Eagles interior is currently influx; Nick Cole will fill in for Jamaal Jackson at center and Stacy Andrews will play right guard where he was supposed to last season. Andrews, was a big free-agent signing from a year ago and is the elder of former Eagle Shawn Andrews. Todd Herremans will hopefully be playing left guard this season as he is again fighting a foot related injury. Max Jean-Gilles, who underwent lap band surgery this off-season, is filling in as a starter.
There happens to be plenty unproven depth in the interior. Locks to make the team will be former fourth round pick Mike McGlynn and former Steeler center AQ. Shipley. Mike, a backup guard, also plays center, where he will probably stay this season with the instablility currently at the position as well as injury to Nick Cole.
This year, And Reid defensive draft, goes against his usual philosophy of offensive linemen. The 2010 draft held 0 OL players for the Eagles, emphasizing depth for the Eagles on players already there or undrafted rookies.
The former Oregon tackle switched to guard this off-season. His rookie year was spent on the IR to save him from other teams. Before his "injury", he was a top prospect in the draft and received plenty of praise. Hopefully he won't be needed to fill in on the left side.
Isdaner made headlines his rookie year with the Cowboys for the infamous haircut hazing. The second year pro has traded his ugly look and his poor haircut for sweet midnight green. Let's hope his blocking is better than his old hair.
One of the few back-up offensive linemen I like on our team. Reynolds spent his rookie season with us and is currently our main back-up on the right side ahead of Isdaner. Please make this cut.
The former Kentucy Wildcat made it to us as a undrafted rookie. He is piled deep in our depth chart and this is the first time I have heard of him. It doesn't look good.
